P aper holder for holding 6" x 6" designer paper pieces using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and doily pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- 8" x 9" from Grapefruit Grove Cardstock scored at 4" and 5" when a 9" side is along the top of the Trimmer and at 3/4" in on both other sides
- 2 pieces each 3-3/4" x 6-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 3- 5/8" x 6-1/8" of pink shimmery flowers on mottled white and pink background from Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/2" square from Grapefruit Grove Cardstock
- 3" square from Shimmery White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Shimmery White Cardstock
- half a Pearlized Doily
Fold along all score lines on the Grapefruit Grove Cardstock piece using a Bone Folder.
Use Paper Snips to cut along the score lines at the 4" x 5" mark only until you hit the crossing score line at the 3/4" mark on both sides of the cardstock.
Put Tear & Tape Adhesive along the outer edge of one of the 3/4" x 4" tabs on each side of the cardstock. Remove the protective backings and fold the sides together with the tiny tab on the inside to make the open topped box.
Adhere the rectangles of Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper to the large rectangles of Petal Pink Cardstock.
Adhere the matted designer paper pieces to the front and back of the box.
If desired, rub the large shimmery white square with the Embossing Buddy before stamping on it. This will help keep the Emboss Powder from sticking where you don't want it.
Mount the single dandelion image from the Dandelion Wishes Set on Block E. Carefully ink up the main dandelion and two of the small seeds with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large Shimmery White Cardstock square.
Tip: If you know you want to stamp only a few of the seeds blowing off the single dandelion image sometimes, you can carefully cut the image apart using sharp scissors. This will make it easy to stamp only part of the image at a time.
Lay the stamped cardstock on top of the Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some White Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers all of the stamped image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (smooth and shiny).
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-5/8" wide circle. Place the stamped and heat embossed dandelion image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so it the dandelion is on the left side. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Petal Pink Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, rub the inky dauber over the heat embossed dandelion circle. Get more ink on the dauber as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Rub a second Sponge Dauber across the open Grapefruit Grove Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, rub the inky dauber over the center of the heat embossed dandelion. Get more ink on the dauber as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Wipe off excess ink on the embossed surfaces using a clean tissue or paper towel.
Pick out the scalloped circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 3-1/16" wide scalloped circle. Place the Grapefruit Grove square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dandelion circle to the center of the scalloped Grapefruit Grove circle.
If you haven't already done so, cut a Pearlized Doily in half. Adhere one half to the back of the dandelion circles so it sticks out on the right side. Put the other half away to use on a future project.
Adhere the dandelion circles and doily to the left side of the front of the box.
Mount the "Hey, friend." sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Grapefruit Grove Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Shimmery White square.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 1-1/8" wide circle. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the scalloped circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 1-1/2" wide scalloped circle. Place the Petal Pink square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the sentiment circle to the center of the Petal Pink scalloped circle.
Adhere the matted sentiment circle to the front of the box in the lower right side of the large circles.
Pick out a large Grapefruit Grove Tinted Faceted Buttons.
Cut a 16" piece of pearlized thread from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.
Fold the thread in half and thread it through the holes in the button from the back side. Center the button on the thread and tie a small bow on the front of the button. Trim the ends of the thread.
Tip: Use a floss threader or needle threader to make it easier to get the thread through the holes in the button.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the button with bow tied on to the front of the box so it overlaps the seam between the two circles on the left side of the smaller circle.
Pick out a triple silver leaf from the Leaves Trinkets. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the box front so the stem touches the left side of the button and the leaves point down at a slight angle.
Carefully peel up a small, clear droplet from a sheet of Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the dandelion.
Carefully peel up another small, clear droplet and a large, clear droplet from a sheet of Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the box on the right side.
