Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Purple Posy Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/4" x 4" of pale purple daisies and green leaves on white background design from Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 4" of rows of silver flowers on white background design from Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 6" from Purple Posy Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
Place the piece of Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper with rows of silver flowers on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Mint Macaron Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, rub it onto the designer paper in small circular motions. Repeat until you've covered the entire piece of designer paper to your satisfaction. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed. Wipe off excess ink using a clean tissue or paper towel.
Tip: Be careful while working on this designer paper, it is thin and will bend and fold easily.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Adhere the piece of colored Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Paper to the bottom of the front of the Purple Posy card.
Adhere the piece of Best Dressed Designer Paper to the top of the front of the Purple Posy card so it overlaps the top of the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Paper a bit.
As you are ready to stamp using the Daisy Delight Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large daisy image from the Daisy Delight Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it on Grid Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp it on one end of the strip of Purple Posy cardstock. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again on the other end of the Purple Posy strip after stamping on Grid Paper first.
Tip: To make it easier to punch out the daisy images, make sure that one petal is pointing straight down.
Unlock the Daisy Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped daisy images into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other daisy image.
Tip: Before removing the cardstock from the punch, slide a piece of copy paper into the punch. Then, slide the square of cardstock and the copy paper out at the same time. This will keep the pointy edges of the punched piece from catching on the punch and tearing.
Adhere the two daisy punch outs on top of each other so they are slightly offset to make one big, full daisy.
Mount the "thank you" sentiment from the Daisy Delight Set on Block H. Ink up only the word "thank" by pressing it carefully to the edge of the open Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the Mint Macaron rectangle. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Ink up only the word "you" of the "thank you" sentiment on Block H by pressing it carefully to the edge of the open Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the Mint Macaron rectangle just below the word "thank" so it is slightly to the right of center and the top of the "y" overlaps the bottom of the word "thank" just a bit. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put it away.
Pick out the smaller label die with rounded ends from the Painted Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered up and down and is on the right side. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the seam between the two designer papers on the right side. The right edge of the label cut out should hang over the edge of the designer papers on the right side a tiny amount.
Pick out a Pretty Peacock tassel from the Best Dressed Tassels.
Place the top of the tassel on the BACK of the layered daisy punch outs so the bottom of the tassel sticks out and the top loop of the tassel is hidden. Put a Mini Stampin' Dimensional inside the loop of the tassel. Remove the protective backing and put another Mini Stampin' Dimensional on top of the first.
Add some regular Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the layered daisy punch outs. Remove the protective backings and put another Stampin' Dimensional on top of each one.
Remove the protective backings from the top layer of Dimensionals and adhere the layered daisy punch outs to the card front so it is centered over the seam between the two designer papers on the left side and overlaps the left side of the sentiment label cut out. The tassel should be sticking out to the bottom.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large gem from a sheet of Clear Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the layered daisy punch outs.
