Project Recipe
Cut card stock pieces and Watercolor Paper to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Cucumber Crush Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Card Stock
- 3-1/4" x 4" from Pumpkin Pie Card Stock
- 3-3/4" x 4-1/2" from Watercolor Paper
- 2" x 3" from Very Vanilla Card Stock
- scraps of Very Vanilla Card Stock
- scraps of Gold Glimmer Paper
Place the Daffodil Delight rectangle into the Sparkle Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Daffodil Delight rectangle to the front of the Cucumber Crush card.
Ink up the small set of splatters from the Gorgeous Grunge Set with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly on to the Watercolor Paper several times making sure to re-ink each time. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub.
Repeat step 4 with Cucumber Crush, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, and Pacific Point inks. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and remember to clean the stamp between ink colors.
Take the old Stampin' Mist bottle filled with water and spritz the stamped Watercolor Paper to make the inks run and blend together, tilt the paper a bit if necessary.
Allow the Watercolor Paper to dry completely. You can speed up the process by using the Heat Tool if you'd like.
Once the Watercolor Paper is dry, use the Stampin' Trimmer to trim the edges where the ink might have pooled. Cut the Watercolor Paper piece down to 3-1/8" x 3-7/8".
Mount the "thank you" sentiment from the So Very Much Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the Watercolor Paper.
Mount the Santa image from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Photopolymer Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large Very Vanilla rectangle. Do not remove the stamp from the block.
Ink up the Santa image again with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on one of the scraps of vanilla card stock so you get the belt image. Do not remove the stamp from the block.
Ink up the Santa image again with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad and stamp it on the final scrap of vanilla card stock so you get the top of the hat with about 3/4" of card stock unstamped over the top of the hat.
Squeeze the lid of the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad into the pad. Open the pad so you can see the inside of the lid where you should have a puddle of ink. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some of the ink and color in the complete Santa image's beard and mustache. Remember to stroke across the card stock in one direction only so that the card stock doesn't tear and pill. Get more ink on the Blender Pen as needed. Clean the Blender Pen by scribbling on scratch paper until no more color comes off.
Repeat the step above using the Real Red Ink Pad. Use the very tip of the Blender Pen to add some light swirls of red to the beard and mustache to make them really look like red hair. Clean the Blender Pen by scribbling.
Repeat the step above using the Cucumber Crush Ink Pad. Color in the cuffs and brim of the hat with the Blender Pen making them fairly dark. Color in the rest of the suit a little lighter.
Color in the area over the top of the Santa's hat image stamped on the scrap of vanilla card stock with the Blender Pen and Cucumber Crush Ink so the color is fairly light.
Squeeze the Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush over Block A to make a blob of glitter ink on the block. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some of the glitter ink and outline the "thank you" stamped on the Watercolor Paper. Pick up more glitter ink as needed with the Blender Pen.
Continue using the Blender Pen to pick up some of the glitter ink from Block A and paint in the boots, gloves, and belt buckle on the full Santa image. Also color in the belt buckle on the belt image. Squeeze more of the Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush onto Block A if needed.
Use the Basic Black Marker to color in both of the belts.
Adhere the Watercolor Paper to the Pumpkin Pie rectangle using lots of SNAIL Adhesive around the edges to hold it firmly in place.
Now adhere the matted Watercolor Paper to the center of the card front.
Unlock the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and slide the colored leprechaun into the punch while holding the punch upside down so you can see the image in the punch out area. Get it centered and punch.
Cut off the top of the leprechaun's hat even with the top of the brim.
Adhere the leprechaun to the right edge of the matted Watercolor Paper at a slight angle.
Cut the hat and the colored area above it from the scrap of vanilla card stock. Cut the edges of the hat in straight lines and make sure to cut off the brim.
Adhere the squared off hat piece to the top of the leprechaun's head.
Cut out the extra belt image.
Use a tiny bit of Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the extra belt to the hat so it covers the seam between the two pieces.
Use the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch to punch out 5 small circles from the scrap of Gold Glimmer Paper.
Adhere the glimmer circles in a small pile at the leprechaun's left foot using Mini Glue Dots.
