F all themed birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cajun Craze Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2" x 4" of yellow stripes design from Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the vertical strip
- 2-1/2" square from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Crushed Curry Cardstock
Lightly spritz the Crumb Cake rectangle with water and insert into the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder so the planks will run horizontally across the vertical rectangle. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one short edge of the strip of Follow Your Art Designer Paper into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Colorful Seasons Set or Magnolia Blooms Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the detailed, large maple leaf image from the Colorful Seasons Set on Block C (it will fit at an angle). Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Pumpkin Pie square.
Pick out the matching, open, large maple leaf die from the Seasonal Layers Dies. Put it on top of the stamped leaf image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the leaf. Run through the tool.
Pick out the detailed leaf die from the Seasonal Layers Dies. Put it on top of the Cajun Craze rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Keep the die out.
Put the detailed leaf die on top of the Crushed Curry rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Mount the "thank you" or "happy birthday" sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla square.
Pick out the stitched circle die from the Stitched Shapes Dies that cuts out a stitched circle that is 1-7/8" diameter. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
If the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Adhere the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle to the front of the Cajun Craze card.
Adhere the banner of designer paper to the front of the card so the flat top is about 3/4" from the top and the left edge is about 3/4" from the left side.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Cajun Craze detailed leaf cut out to the upper left corner of the designer paper banner so the tips of the leaf hang over the top and left edges a bit and the stem is towards the middle of the banner.
Adhere the solid Pumpkin Pie leaf cut out to the lower right of the designer paper banner so one tip of the lea almost touches the bottom of the banner, the other two tips of the leaf hang over the right edge a bit, and the stem is towards the middle of the banner.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Crushed Curry detailed leaf cut out to the card front so it overlaps most of the Pumpkin Pie leaf to the upper right side and the stem is towards the middle of the designer paper banner.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment circle cut out to the front of the card so it covers the ends of the leaf stems and sticks over the right edge of the designer paper banner just a tiny bit.
Cut a 3" piece of Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle so it is on the lower right side of the sentiment circle cut out and centered over the leaves.
