Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bumblebee Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-3/4" square from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 3-5/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1/4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1" square from Soft Suede Cardstock
Place the piece of Basic White cardstock vertically on top of some Grid Paper on your work surface. Put pieces of copy paper on top of the cardstock so you leave a 1-1/4" gap between them running vertically down the rectangle about 1/2" from the left side. Use pieces of washi tape or Scotch tape to hold the copy paper in place around the cardstock (no tape should be on the cardstock though).
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Bumblebee Ink Pad to get it inky. Very lightly rub the inky Blending Brush over the gap on the white rectangle from about 3/4" from the top and about 1-1/2" from the bottom. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Rub a different Blending Brush across the open Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad to get it inky. Very lightly rub the inky Blending Brush over the gap on the white rectangle just above and below the yellow area, blending it into the yellow area bit. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Rub the same Blending Brush used for the Pear Pizzazz Ink across the open Old Olive Ink Pad to get it inky. Very lightly rub the inky Blending Brush over the gap on the white rectangle filling in the rest of the gap and blending it into the Pear Pizzazz green area a bit. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Carefully remove the copy paper masking the right side of the blended white rectangle. Be sure to leave the copy paper masking the left side in place.
Mount the large sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Bumblebee Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle so it overlaps the covered left edge of the rectangle just a bit and is about 1/2" from the top.
Carefully remove the copy paper masking the left side of the blended and stamped white rectangle.
Mount the "Thanks a bunch" sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on Block H. Use the side of the brush tip of the Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker to ink up only the word "thanks". Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment in the lower right corner of the stamped and blended white rectangle.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the Bumblebee square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, detailed sunflower die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the Bumblebee square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Bumblebee (yellow) side is facing up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Make sure the protective backing for the Adhesive Sheet stays in place for now.
Before removing the protective backing from the detailed Crushed Curry sunflower cut out, figure out which way it and the stamped sunflower image need to be oriented for them to line up.
Using Paper Snips Scissors, carefully cut off the left edge of the sunflower cut out in a straight line where it will line up with the straight left edge of the blended area on the white rectangle.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the detailed Bumblebee sunflower cut out and adhere it to the stamped sunflower image on the white rectangle being sure to line up the images. If needed, trim off a little more on the left edge using Paper Snips Scissors.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the thin strip of Old Olive cardstock to the white rectangle so it covers the left side of the blended area and the left edge of the sunflower cut out.
Adhere the white rectangle to the front of the Bumblebee card.
Pick out the small, solid, center of the sunflower die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the Soft Suede square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the Soft Suede sunflower center cut out to the center of the sunflower cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large Pumpkin Pie jewels from the sheet of Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the sunflower image.
