B right and cheery celebration card for lots of occasions using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Lemon Lime Twist or Azure Afternoon Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blueberry Bushel or Lemon Lolly Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of blue stars on white background design or pale yellow stripes on white background design from Bright & Beautiful 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, for the stripes cut so the lines are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
-1" x 5-1/2" from Blueberry Bushel or Lemon Lolly Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Lemon Lime Twist or Azure Afternoon Cardstock
- 7/8" x 3-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 1-3/4" from Blueberry Bushel or Lemon Lolly Cardstock
- 1" square from Lemon Lolly Cardstock or 1-1/2" square from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock
- small scrap of Basic White Cardstock
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the 1" x 5-1/2" strip of Lemon Lolly or Blueberry Bushel into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notch) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to the back side of the 1" x 3-1/2" Lemon Lime Twist or Azure Afternoon rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the more detailed "celebrate" die from the Wanted To Say Dies. Put it on top of the Lemon Lime Twist or Azure Afternoon rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the green or blue side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the "celebrate" cut out. Adhere it to the punched Lemon Lolly or Blueberry Bushel strip so the notch is on the right side and the end of the "celebrate" is about 1/4" from the notch.
Cut a 7" piece of the Azure Afternoon or Lemon Lolly ribbon from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie the ribbon around the left end of the punched sentiment strip using a knot so it is about 1/2" from the left end of the word "celebrate." Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Adhere the punched sentiment strip with ribbon attached to the bottom of the horizontal Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper rectangle so the bottom of the strip is about 3/8" from the bottom of the designer paper and the notched ends are about 1/4" from the right side of the designer paper. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the left edge.
Adhere the designer paper with sentiment strip attached to the center of the Lemon Lolly or Blueberry Bushel rectangle and then to the front of the Lemon Lime Twist or Azure Afternoon card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Carousel Horses Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Lay one of the small horses on a pole image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block D to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Azure Afternoon Ink Pad or Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vertical white rectangle.
Note: If you are making multiples of the card in different colors, be sure to clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy between colors.
Lay the matching, connected, small mane and tail image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block B to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad or Lemon Lolly Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped horse image so the tail and mane are lined up inside the stamped outlines.
Note: If you are making multiples of the card in different colors, be sure to clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy between colors.
Lay the small saddle and decorative tack image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block A to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad or Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped horse image so the saddle and girth are lined up inside the stamped outlines.
Note: If you are making multiples of the card in different colors, be sure to clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy between colors.
Pick out the matching, small horse on a pole die from the Carousel Horses Dies. Put it on top of the stamped horse on a pole image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed
Use Stampin' Seal and/or Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the horse on a pole cut out to the front of the card as shown so the top of the pole is about 1/2" from the top of the card, the bottom of the pole is tucked under the top of the sentiment strip just to the right of the ribbon, and the tail of the horse is about 3/8" from the left of the card.
Lay the "Let's Celebrate" sentiment from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block G to it to mount the stamp. Ink up only the word "let's" with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad or Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad. Stamp the word "Let's" on the scrap of white cardstock.
Note: If you are making multiples of the card in different colors, be sure to clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy between colors.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the word "Let's" leaving about 1/4" to 1/2" of white below the word.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the word cut out to the front of the card as shown so it is just to the right of the horse cut out and the bottom is tucked under the top of the sentiment strip.
Pick out the small, solid flower die or grouping of small stars die from the Wanted To Say Dies. Put it on the Lemon Lolly square or Blueberry Bushel square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the small flower or grouping of stars cut out to the upper right corner of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Lemon Lime Twist or Blueberry Bushel gem from the sheet of Tinsel Gems Four-Pack making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the top of the pole as shown. For the green card, peel up another large Lemon Lime Twist gem and adhere it to the center of the small flower cut out.
