M y mother in law and I saw a Gingko on a local garden walk. I just love the shapes of the leaves! I paired the rich pretty peacock color with some holographic paper and an iridescent ribbon to make a elegant, but simple card. The inside is important! So the greeting is made more subtle by covering it with vellum and a die cut card inside. It looks difficult, but it was so easy!
Project Recipe
Cut the base from basic white thick cardstock at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score at 4 1/4". Stamp gingko in pretty peacock on a piece of normal basic white cardstock that measures 2 3/4" x 4".
Cut a piece of holographic paper to 3" x 4 1/4". Matte the gingko piece on the holographic piece.
Tie a bow with the white organd ribbon. Use a glue dot to adhere it to the fron the gingko stem. Use tear-n-tape on the back to secure the ribbon.
Cut a piece of earthen elegance with the pretty peacock textured side to 4" x 5 1/4". Tear the back of the tear-n-tape and adhere the holographic/gingko assembly onto the peacock. Center the peacock and glue it onto the white cardstock base. Isn't that iridescent rainbow beautiful?
For the inside, cut a die cut out of a piece of white cardstock that measures 4" x 5 1/4". Hold it over the inside of the card and carefully stamp in pretty peacock on the inside of the card. Take care not to touch the cut piece.
Adhere a piece of vellum (whatever size you need) to cover the window from the back of the piece. Adhere this windowed piece over the inside of the card with the stamped sentiment. Voila! You are done!
