P retty tag made to match a 30th anniversary box from Stampin' Up!
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2" x 4-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 4-3/8" from Calypso Coral Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/2" from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Bouquet Blooms Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large grouping of flowers and leaves image from the Bouquet Blooms Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2" x 4" rectangle of white cardstock. Set aside to let it dry for a few minutes.
Unlock the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Slide one end of the 2" x 4-1/4" Whisper White Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide one end of the Calypso Coral Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide one end of the Pear Pizzazz Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "thanks" or "friend" sentiment from the Bouquet Blooms Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white tag about 1-1/2" down from the ribbon hole in the top of the tag. WITHOUT re-inking, stamp the sentiment again just below the previously stamped image so it overlaps a tiny bit. WITHOUT re-inking, stamp the sentiment again just above the first stamped sentiment so it overlaps a tiny bit.
Adhere the white tag to the Calypso Coral tag and then to the Pear Pizzazz tag so they are at slight angles to each other.
Pick out the large, open, grouping of flowers and leaves framelit from the Gatefold Blossoms Framelits. Place the stamped grouping of flowers and leaves image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the grouping of flowers and leaves framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Paper Snips to cut away the leaves stamped on the right side of the flowers and leave bunch.
Place the stamped and cut out grouping of flowers image on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the light colors first and add highlights with the darker colors. If needed to blend the colors, go over things again with the lighter colors. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Dark Pineapple Punch Marker to color in the center of the rose flower just left of center.
Use the Dark and Light Calypso Coral Markers to color in and blend the rest of the rose flower just left of center.
Use the Dark Poppy Parade Marker to color in the three small flowers on the left.
Use the Dark and Light Bermuda Bay Markers to color in the two flowers just to the right of center.
Use the Light Night of Navy Marker to color in the centers of the two solid black flowers (one on the right and one between the rose and three small flowers on the left).
Adhere the colored and cut out grouping of flowers image to the bottom of the white tag at a slight angle. The edges will hang over the edges of the tag on the right and left sides a bit.
Pick out the right angle edge framelit with leaves on the end and leaves in the squared off tab from the Gatefold Blossoms Framelits. Place the piece of Old Olive Cardstock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the right angle edge framelit on top of it so you'll cut out the leaves. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Paper Snips to cut the leaves from any remaining cardstock.
Adhere the leaves to the tag so they tuck under the flower grouping image.
Carefully peel up 3 small rhinestones from a sheet of Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the three small Poppy Parade flowers on the left side of the tag.
Carefully peel up a medium gem from a sheet of Clear Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the solid black and blue flower on the right side of the tag.
Cut a length of Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine. Fold it in half. Stick the folded end through the ribbon hole in the tag from the front. Pull the loop up a bit. Thread the loose ends of the twine through the loop and pull tight. Use the loose ends of the twine to tie the tag to the Whisper White 3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon wrapped around the box. Trim the ends.
