A sweet little chocolate holder created for Merci chocolates. You can make 4 treat holders from one sheet of 8.5" x 11" cardstock. They go together very quickly and since the project uses a very small amount of DSP, it's perfect for using up your scraps of DSP.
Project Recipe
This project uses a piece of 2-1/8" x 9.5" Pool Party cardstock. You can create 4 treat holders using one piece of cardstock.
Score the 2-1/8" x 9.5" cardstock along the 9.5" side at 3-1/4", 3-3/4", 7", and 7.5". Fold and burnish on score lines.
Cut a piece of coordinating cardstock 2"x1-7/8". Glue the DSP to the 2"x 2-1/8" section of cardstock. Rotate your DSP so that there is a 1/8" border on all 4 sides.
Punch a 1" circle in the long section at the end opposite the section with the DSP. Push in the 1" circle punch as far as it will go, centering it side-to-side. Add sticky strip to the very end (the same end you punched the circle).
Fold the long section with the punched circle on the 1st and 2nd score line and line up the bottom edge of that long section (with the sticky strip) to the 3rd score line. Adhere. This forms the little pouch where the Merci chocolate will be placed.
Using scrap Whisper White, stamp the Santa chick from Birds of a Feather with Memento ink. Stamp the sentiment "enjoy the season" on another scrap of Whisper White. Color the chick using the blends (Light and Dark Pool Party, Real Red Dark, Daffodil Delight Dark).
Punch the chick out using a 2" circle punch. Punch out a real red starburst using the starburst punch. Adhere the image to the starburst. You can add Dazzling Diamonds or Wink of Stella to the rim and pompom on the hat, as well as the star.
I used the smallest Nested Label Dies to cut out the sentiment.
Using dimensionals, pop up the finished image/starburst near the bottom of the section containing the chocolate. Make sure the section with the DSP will tuck under the image and stay closed. Adhere the sentiment close to the top of the section with the DSP. Add a rhinestone or colored epoxy droplet.
