C ute tags for candy made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Pick out the angled top tag die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies that cuts out a tag that is 2-3/4" long. Put it on top of the 1-1/2" x 3" white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Bee My Valentine Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "you make my heart buzz" sentiment from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the tag as close as possible to the left edge with the ribbon hole on the left side.
Mount the bee stripes and stinger image from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal 1-3/4" x 4-1/2" white strip leaving room to punch it out.
Mount the solid oval bee body image from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped stripes and stinger so the edges all line up.
Unlock the Bee Builder Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped bee body image into the punch and get it centered in the bee body punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked. Keep ALL the pieces.
Mount the bee face image of choice from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the bee body punch out on the right side so it is centered in the yellow area.
Mount the outlined wings image from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the horizontal white strip leaving room to punch it out.
Slide the stamped wings strip into the unlocked Bee Builder Punch holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Get the wings centered in the large heart (wings) punching area. Punch.
Adhere the wings punch out to the back of the bee body punch out using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
Add a couple more Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the assembled bee. Adhere it to the right side of the tag as shown. Make sure no adhesive goes over the edge of the tag.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small yellow heart from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the tag as shown.
Cut a long enough piece of the Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon to thread it through the hole in the top of the tag and then tie it in place to the candy using a knot. Trim the ends.
