P atriotic card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of small Blueberry Bushel plaid design from Glorious Gingham 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Glorious Gingham Designer Paper to the front of the Real Red card.
Pick out the die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies that cuts out a 3" x 4-3/8" rectangle. Put it on top of the large white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Beautiful Balloons Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large, solid balloon image from the Beautiful Balloons Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad. Stamp off on Grid Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the image in the upper left corner of the vertical, white rectangle cut out as shown.
Mount the large, detailed confetti balloon image from the Beautiful Balloons Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped blue balloon image.
Mount the medium, solid balloon image from the Beautiful Balloons Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle cut out as shown so it is near the center up and down and just overlaps the lower right side of the blue balloon image.
Mount the small, solid balloon image from the Beautiful Balloons Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle cut out as shown so it just overlaps the bottom left side of the blue balloon image.
Mount the balloon string image from the Beautiful Balloons Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad and stamp it under each of the balloons to make the strings. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the direction of the string on one of the balloons. Stamp the image below some of the images as needed so the strings will go off the bottom edge of the rectangle. Make sure the lines connect as much as possible.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle cut out to the front of the card in the center.
Mount the "I think it's time for a celebration" sentiment from the Beautiful Balloons Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies that cuts out a 1-3/8" x 2-3/4" rectangle. Put it on top of the sentiment stamped rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered right to left and is close to the top edge of the die. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Put the die back on top of the sentiment stamped rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the cut edges on the sides line up and the die is just below the bottom of the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the front of the card as shown so it sticks over the right edge of the large rectangle cut out a bit and is about 1" from the bottom of the card.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 small and 1 large Blueberry Bushel gems from the sheet of Tinsel Gems Four-Pack making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown in the upper right corner of the large white rectangle cut out.
