S imple, pretty birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Freesia Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- 2" square from Fresh Freesia Cardstock OR 2" square of Fresh Freesia design from 2021-2023 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortment
- 2" square from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1-7/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" square from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Insert the large Gorgeous Grape rectangle into the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Cut a 6" piece of the Highland Heather 1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the horizontal, dry embossed Gorgeous Grape rectangle so it is about 1-3/8" from the top edge. Flip the cardstock over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Gorgeous Grape rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Fresh Freesia card.
Mount the "happiest of birthdays to you!" or "the best thing about today is you!" sentiment from the All Squared Away Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal Fresh Freesia strip in the center. Leave room to punch it out.
Unlock the Label Me Fancy Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area top to bottom with the sentiment more to the right side. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment punch out to the card front so it is centered over the ribbon and the right edge is about 1-1/4" from the right side of the card.
Mount the squiggly lines on solid background image from the All Squared Away Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Fresh Freesia square.
Note: If you want to leave the Fresh Fresh square plain or use the square of Fresh Freesia 2021-2023 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper instead, then skip this step.
Adhere the Fresh Freesia square (of stamped or plain cardstock or designer paper) to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon and covers the left end of the sentiment punch out.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the Granny Apple Green square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the square with leaves and a single, rounded flower die from the Floral Squares Dies. Put it on top of the Granny Apple Green square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Granny Apple Green side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the flower and leaves square cut out. Adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered over the Fresh Freesia square.
Pick out the single, large, rounded flower die from the Floral Squares Dies. Put it on top of the Gorgeous Grape square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere the purple flower cut out to the front of the card so it covers the green flower on the cut out square.
Cut a 4" piece of the Highland Heather 1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the right side of the sentiment punch out so it is centered over the ribbon already on the card.
Pick out a small Fresh Freesia flower from the Loose Flower Flourishes. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the flower to the card front in the center of the purple flower.
