A masculine golfing card made using Country Club DSP, Water Color Pencils and Heirloom Frame Dies and 3D embossing folders.
Project Recipe
Country Club Designer Series Paper has the pictured scenes.
I chose the man golfing. These scenes are cut in 3 x 4 sections.
Cut as follows:
Poppy Parade card stock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Score at 4 1/4.
Cut blue plaid DSP 5 1/4 x 4 .
Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4.
Scrap of Poppy Parade for die cut and embossing.
Run the second piece of poppy parade through die cutting machine using square Heirloom die and square 3 D embossing folder.
Used watercolor pencils and blender pen to color scene.
Used the following colors:
Grass: Garden green and Granny Apple green
Water: Bermuda Bay and Pacific point
Pants, glove, and golf club: Basic Gray
Shirt and cap: Crushed Curry.
Trees: Old Olive and Garden Green
Sky: Whisper white and Balmy blue.
Sun: Daffodil delight.
DSP is not as forgiving as watercolor paper. The sun didn’t turn out says expected (more practice!). I didn’t clean my blender pen between the sun and the sky and the yellow bled into the blue. Tried to fix that with more Balmy blue and damaged the paper.
What to do??
I had a practice heirloom frame on my desk!
The frame hid all my mistakes.
Adhere DSP to card stock.
Adhere frame to scene.
Adhere framed scene to card.
Adhere Whisper White inside of card.
