Project Recipe
Prepare Bases and Mats
Whisper White Thick base is 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 to create a top fold card.
Mats are Pretty Peacock, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz cut at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
Cut your 6x6 paper down to size by cutting at 3 7/8 on the vertical cut and trim the large remaining piece off at 5 1/8. Keep the small strip for lining the inside of the card. Set aside the larger strip for a later project.
Cut the remaining dsp panel down. You can play with your own measurements but make sure you have one strip wider than the other and then on the horizontal cuts make one taller and one shorter. This adds more visual interest to the layout.
I cut mine at 2.5" wide and then the wider strip I trimmed at 3" and the skinny strip I cut at 2"
Play with your pieces and your mats to find a combination you desire. Make sure to pay attention to the orientation of your papers. Remember, you have two sides to work with so have fun!
Lay them all out before you adhere them to the matting layer. There will be a very thin border so take care when putting this together.
Stamp your sentiment on a whisper white scrap and punch with the 2" circle punch.
Use the starburst punch to make a matting layer for the sentiment.
I like to use ink and the starburst cardstock in the same color as the back panel.
Adhere the sentiment to the starburst and add to the cardfront with dimensionals.
If desired add embellishments or ribbon.
