A dorable card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bubble Bath Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" from Bubble Bath Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Bubble Bath Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" of thin white zigzag lines on black background design from Zoo Crew 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 1/4" x 3-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" square from Bubble Bath Cardstock
Pick out the long, skinny, scallop-edge die from the Zany Zoo Dies. Put it on top of the horizontal 2-1/2" x 4" Bubble Bath rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it will cut along the top edge and the scallop bumps will be up. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Zany Zoo Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the scallop-edged Bubble Bath rectangle so the scallops are on top and the sentiment is no more than 3/8" from the bottom edge.
Adhere the stamped, scallop-edged Bubble Bath rectangle to the bottom of the vertical 4" x 5-1/4" Basic Black rectangle and then to the front of the Bubble Bath card.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the thin strip of black cardstock to one edge of the 3-1/4" Bubble Bath square so the bottom, left, and right edges are even.
Pick out the curtain die from the Zany Zoo Dies. Put it on top of the vertical Zoo Crew Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is as close to the left edge as possible and is centered top to bottom. Run through the machine. Put the die on the other side of the designer paper rectangle so it is as close to the right edge as possible and is centered top to bottom. Run through the machine. Keep ALL the pieces!
Put the long, skinny, scallop-edge die on top of the leftover designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it will cut as close as possible to one bumpy curtain edge with the bumps of the scallops pointing down. There should be a peak formed by the bumpy curtain edge on the other side. Run through the machine.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess designer paper on the top of the peaked, scalloped tent top that you have cut out.
Adhere one curtain cut out to the left side of the Bubble Bath square with the black line on the bottom. The left edges of the square and curtain should be even and a tiny bit of black should show along the bottom of the curtain. Repeat with the other curtain on the right side of the square in the same way.
Adhere the tent top you cut out of the designer paper leftovers to the top of the square so the scallops just overlap the tops of the curtains and the peaked top of the tent is centered and sticks out over the top edge of the square.
Adhere the stage square to the front of the card so it is centered over the sentiment.
Pick out the small, solid rectangular die that cuts out two curtain tiebacks from the Zany Zoo Dies. Put it on top of the 1" Bubble Bath square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the curtain tiebacks in place to the front of the card as shown.
Mount the dancing leopard image from the Zany Zoo Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the matching dancing leopard die from the Zany Zoo Dies. Put it on top of the image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use the Bubble Bath Stampin' Write Marker to color in the leopard's tutu, belt, dance shoes, and center of the flower. You can also color in the leopard's nose if you want.
Use the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker to color in the leopard's spots and petals of the flower.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored dancing leopard cut out to the front of the card so she is centered on the stage.
