A box of 4 cards for any occasion featuring products in the Feels Like Frost Suite from the Autumn/Winter 2019 Catalogue.
Project Recipe
Cut four pieces of Balmy Blue Cardstock measuring 8" x 5 27/32" (these precise measurements allow you to cut 2 cards from one sheet of A4 cardstock). With the 8" side at the top of your Stampin' Trimmer or Simply Scored board, score down at the 4" mark.
Fold the scorelines and burnish the crease by running a bone folder along the edge.
Using the decorative frame die from the Frosted Frames Dies, cut 10 pieces from Pretty Peacock cardstock (two for each card plus two for the box belly band)
Take two frames. Cut one to remove the decorative edges as shown in the photo.
Attach the decorative pieces to the whole frame as shown in the photo using liquid glue or Snail.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 with the remaining four pairs of frames.
Take one of the Balmy Blue card bases and, with it in the portrait orientation, attach 3 pieces of Tear & Tape as shown in the photo.
Attach a length of Seaside Spray 1/4" Metallic Ribbon to the Tear & Tape, zig-zagging across the card front.
Repeat steps 5 & 6 on each of the other three bases.
Attach a frame to each of the cards with the Snowflake corners at the top using liquid adhesive.
Using Balmy Blue Ink, stamp the 'You Warm My Heart' sentiment onto Whisper White Cardstock 5 times, making sure you leave enough room for them to be die cut with the stitched frame die.
In addition to the 5 sentiments, cut out 5 sets of Snowflakes in Whisper White and 5 sets in Balmy Blue.
Using the Shimmery Crystal Effects add it to sections of each frame's foliage and allow to dry.
Place the two Balmy Blue snowflakes onto a Silicon Sheet then, using a piece of Stampin' Sponge, cover them with liquid adhesive and dip them into the Ice Stampin' Glitter. Allow these to dry before moving on.
Once dry, attach the stitched sentiment and snowflakes to the card front as shown. Repeat for each card (you'll have one frame left over which you will use for the belly band).
Take the Acetate Box and shape it by bending at the scored lines as shown.
Cut two strips of Feels Like Frost DSP (use the one shown in the next photo, not this one) measuring 5 3/4" x 3" and score them at 1/2" and 5 1/4". Fold the scorelines but don't burnish them.
Adhere the 1/2" sides of the two strips together forming a band to go around the acetate box.
Attach a length of Seaside Spray 1/4" Metallic Ribbon using Tear & Tape as shown.
Attach the remaining Pretty Peacock Frame to the belly band with liquid adhesive over the ribbon.
Attach the stitched sentiment and snowflakes as shown. Place the four cards and four envelopes into the box then slide the belly band over the box.
Your Box of Cards are now complete - sit back and admire your handiwork.
