W ant to make a clean and simple Christmas card? Give this one a try. I love both the simple elegance and the ease with which you can dress it up.
Project Recipe
Measurements
5 ½” x 8 ½” Evening Evergreen Cardstock (CS) (scored at 4 ¼”)
5 ¼” x 4” Red CS (Cut 2)
5 1/8” x 3 7/8” White CS
3 ½” x 4 ¼” White CS
Cut and Score all pieces. Burnish well on score lines.
Emboss the White CS using the Sprigs and Twigs embossing folder.
Mat with the Cherry Cobbler CS and adhere to the front of the card base.
Use the Christmas Season stamps to decorate the 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of white CS.
Stamp Sentiment.
Emboss the red CS using the Sprigs & Twigs embossing folder.
Attach the decorated paper to the embossed mat and adhere to the inside of the card base.
Using the Cottage Wreath dies, cut one wreath using Old Olive CS and one using Evening Evergreen CS.
Attach the two wreaths together.
Decorate as desired. I used the red enamel effects (mini catalog) and red open weave ribbon (retired).
Using the Seasonal Labels dies, cut the tag out and stamp the sentiment for the front of your card.
I added red enamel effects to give it a little sparkle.
For my original card, I simply adhered the wreath and label to the front of the card.
To make it a little more advanced, I made a second card adding a twisted ribbon on the left-hand side (see project sheet for twisted ribbon technique).
Have fun with this card. The simple version or advanced, I think the recipient will enjoy it because it was made by you with love.
