Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5" of one of the darker wood designs from Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, try to cut it so the grain of the wood is vertical
- 3" square of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
- 3" square of Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square of Very Vanilla Cardstock
- scrap of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock at least 3" long
- scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock at least 3" long
Mount the background image of scattered flowers and leaves from the Wood Words Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it in the middle of the large Crushed Curry rectangle about 1/2" from the top and left sides.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch and slide the strip of Wood Textures Designer Paper in as far as it will go. Punch.
Adhere the punched strip of designer paper to the right side of the Crushed Curry rectangle so the top edges are even and the right side of the designer paper is about 1/2" from the right side of the Crushed Curry layer.
Adhere the stamped Crushed Curry layer to the front of the Cherry Cobbler card.
Unlock the 2" Circle Punch. Slide the square of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock into the punch and punch.
Unlock the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. Slide the square of Crushed Curry Cardstock into the punch and punch.
Adhere the Crushed Curry circle to the center of the Cherry Cobbler circle.
Adhere the circles to the card front so the right edge of the circles just barely overhangs the right side of the designer paper banner and the top of the circle is about 3/4" down from the top of the designer paper banner.
Mount the rooster image from the Wood Words Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping the image, use the brush tip of the Cherry Cobbler Marker to color in the rooster's tail feathers and comb. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the image in the center of the small square of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
Pick out the rooster framelit from the Wood Crate Framelits. Place the stamped rooster image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the rooster framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the rooster cut out to the center of the circles on the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Mount one of the long skinny sentiments of your choice from the Wood Words Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
Unlock the Classic Label Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the sentiment into the punch and align it in the punching area so the words are to the left side. Punch.
Slide the scrap of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock into the Classic Label Punch and punch.
Cut the Cherry Cobbler label in half down the middle. Adhere the two pieces of Cherry Cobbler label to the back of the sentiment label so that about 1/8" inch of Cherry Cobbler shows on either end.
Adhere the sentiment label to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the circles and sticks out on the left side of the designer paper banner by about 1".
Cut a 4" piece of Crushed Curry 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends. Adhere the ribbon knot to the right side of the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot.
