Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Granny Apple Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of darker yellow stripes on lighter yellow background design from Wonderful World 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 2-5/8" x 3-5/8" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Cut two 3-1/4" pieces of White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon pieces on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Use the brush tip of the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color both pieces of the ribbon. Set the ribbon pieces aside to allow them to dry.
Adhere the piece of Wonderful World Designer Paper to the front of the Granny Apple Green card.
Mount the French iris image from the Wonderful World Set on Block D. Ink up the leaves and stems with the side of the brush tip of the Granny Apple Green Stampin' Write Marker. Ink up the iris with the side of the brush tip of the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp in the lower left corner of the vertical white rectangle.
Mount the "happy birthday" sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the stamped, vertical white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the Granny Apple Green rectangle.
Lay one piece of the colored ribbon across the matted and stamped rectangle so it covers the bottom of the iris stem. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Granny Apple Green rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and slightly closer to the top.
Slide one end of the remaining colored ribbon piece under the ribbon already on the card front. Tie in place with a half knot a the base of the stem. Trim the ends.
