Print Recipe

Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Shaded Spruce Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-3/4 x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 3/4" x 2-5/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2 different bird and branch images cut out by hand using Paper Snips Scissors from a sheet of Nests Of Winter 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper

Pick out the large, open frame with pine boughs die from the Winterly Tree Tops Dies. Put it on top of the large white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.

Note: You are using the large, leafy frame for this project. Recycle the interior cut out piece.

Place the leafy frame cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.

Use the fine tip of the Light Basic Black Stampin' Blends to add some thin lines of black where stems might be on the leafy frame cut out.

Use the Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends to randomly scribble on the leafy frame cut out.

Use the Light Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends to color and blend the rest of the leafy frame cut out.

Insert the Crumb Cake rectangle into the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder so the lines are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.

Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the colored leafy frame cut out to the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle. Trim off any excess Crumb Cake cardstock on the outer edges as needed using Paper Snips Scissors.

Adhere the layered, dry embossed and colored leafy cut out to the front of the Shaded Spruce card so it is centered.

Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin white strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.

Rub the Embossing Buddy included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit all over the punched white strip.

Mount the "thinking of you always" sentiment from the Winterly Tree Tops Set on Block H. Ink it up with the VersaMark Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched white strip so it is as close as possible to the left edge with the punched edge on the left.

Lay the VersaMark stamped rectangle in the center of the Powder Pal included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. Sprinkle on some gold powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder so it covers the sentiment completely. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.

Heat the powder with the Heat Tool on the highest setting until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).

Tip: Use the Crafting Tweezers included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to hold the cardstock while you are heating it so you don't burn your fingers.

If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out a group of two cardinals on a branch and a small bird on a branch from a sheet of Nests Of Winter 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper as close to all edges as possible.

Place the bird cut outs on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.

Use the Light Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends to color in any white space around the pine boughs on the bird cut outs.

Use the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to color in any white spaces between the birds and branches on the bird cut outs.

Use the fine tip of the Light Basic Black Stampin' Blends to carefully outline the bird cut outs covering any little white edges.

WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the colored bird cut outs and the stamped and heat embossed sentiment strip on the card front to figure out placement and spacing. When happy with the arrangement, adhere the pieces in place as shown one at a time.

Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 large and 2 small Crumb Cake or Very Vanilla gems from the sheet of Earth Tones Shimmer Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card around the bird cut outs as shown.
