I t is autumn here in the mountains. The trees are aflame in brilliant hues of reds, yellows, and oranges. After my daily walk, I knew I had to make this card.
Project Recipe
Create an Early Espresso card base cut at 11" x 4 1/4" and scored at 5 1/2".
Cut Cajun Craze cardstock 4" x 5 1/2" and stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso ink.
Emboss the piece using the Subtle embossing folder.
Add to the card front.
Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 3 1/2" x 3 3/4".
Use a stamparatus to stamp the tree image in Sahara Sand ink.
Then, use sponge daubers to add color. I used these colors:
--Pumpkin Pie
--Cherry Cobbler
--Crush Curry
--Daffodil Delight
Beneath the trees add the ground. I used these colors:
--Crumb Cake
--Old Olive
Color the tree trunks with Soft Suede Blends markers.
Cut Early Espresso cardstock at 3 9/16" x 3 5/16".
Adhere the stamped tree image to it and add to the card front.
Add a piece of Braided Burlap Trim or other trim to the bottom of the card front.
If desired, decorate the inside of the card as shown in the photo.
