Project Recipe
You need
1 sheet 12x12 Cardstock and
1 sheet of 12x12 co-ordinating Designer Series Paper.
paper Trimmer/Scorer
TRIM Cardstock to 12x11"
SCORE on the 12" edge at 2" & 10"
Turn paper and on the 11" edge SCORE 1 3/4"; 3 1/2"; 5 1/4; 7": 8 3/4"; & 10 1/2". This leave 1/2" to join the 'tube'.
With a pencil, on the 11" edge, mark at : 7/8"; 2 5/8'; 4 3/8"; 6 1/8"; 7 7/8" & 9 5/8"
With your snips, cut away the bottom and top sections on the 1/2" flap.
On the 12" edge, cut up to the 2" line. This will make SIX flaps to form the base of the 'tube'
Put glue, or tape, on the 1/2 flap and folding the tube in half on the score lines, line the cut edge up and place on top of the flap.
Trim the Designer Series Paper to 7 3/4" x12. Make sure that the direction of the design is running up and down from the 7 3/4" edge.
Cut SIX pieces of DSP 1 1/4" x 7 3/4"
Using glue, stick the DSP onto the panels on the cardstock.
Glue the tabs that form the base, fold them with opposites and make sure the have stuck before continuing with the next two. Keep the hexagon shape correct as you do this.
On the top edge, cut down to the horizontal score line on each vertical score line. At the pencil marks, cut from the pencil mark down to the base of where you have just cut to the score line. You are cutting a a wedge, on both sides. You will now have six points, like a crown!
Punch a hole in each point, 1/2' down from the point.
Thread the ribbon through the holes and gently ease the flanges together around the neck of the bottle. Make a tag, attach it to the front of the bottle cover or thread the tail of the ribbon through a hole on the tag.
