I used the whitewash technique on this magnolia card. The effects were stunning!
Project Recipe
Dimensions:
Crumb Cake 4 1/4 x 11 and 4 1/2 x 3 7/8
Petal Pink 4 x 4 3/8
Whisper White 5 x 4
Rub the Embossing Buddy over the smaller piece of Crumb Cake. With the Stamparatus, stamp the large magnolia stamp in Versamark. Repeat if you don't get a good impression. Sprinkle with the Gold Embossing powder and heat set.
Press the craft ink pad together to get some ink on the inside cover. With the aqua painter, start coloring the flower. Color directly over the embossed lines. You may have to go over this several times to get the white look you prefer.
With a sponge dauber, ink it with the Petal Pink. I started in the middle and brushed out so there wouldn't be any definite lines.
Adhere the stamped image to the Petal Pink and then onto the card front.
Add the ribbon around the top.
Find the Birthday Wishes stamp from the Itty Bitty Birthdays set. Stamp this in the bottom right corner in Crumb Cake.
On the Whisper White piece, stamp the flourish from the Good Morning Magnolia on the bottom. Use the Petal Pink ink pad.
Adhere to the card inside.
