Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes:
- Basic White Cardstock - cut 1 @ 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"; cut 1 @ 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"; 4" x 5 1/2".
- So Saffron Cardstock - cut 1 @ 4" x 5 3/8".
- Pattern Party Designer Series Paper - cut 1 @ 4" x 5 1/4", cut 1 @ 2 1/4" x 6" (envelope flap).
- Subtles Designer Series Paper - cut 1 @ 2" x 3 1/4".
Pick out the large rectangle with a notch on one side and a tiny hole in the centre of the die from the Give It A Whirl Dies. Put it on top of the Pattern Party DSP rectangle piece and run it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
Pick out the fan shape die with a tiny hole at the bottom from the Give It a Whirl Dies. Put it on top of the die cut Pattern Party DSP rectangle so the hole in the die lines up with the hole in the cardstock and the fan shape is off to the left side a bit. Run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
Pick out the large, scalloped edge circle with a tiny hole in the centre from the Give It a Whirl Dies. Put it on top of the large Basic White square. Run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the die cut Pattern Party DSP rectangle on the white scalloped circle cut out so the holes in the line up and a bit of the edge of the scalloped circle shows in the notch on the upper right side of the Pattern Party DSP rectangle cut out.
Mount the "you are turtle-y loved" sentiment on a curve so it will stamp inside the panel. Ink up the stamp using Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. Stamp as close to the top of the fan shaped cut out as you can.
Mount the baby turtle with his eye closed on a block. Ink up the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Stamp as close to the stamped sentiment as you can so the turtle is centred just below the stamped sentiment.
Rotate the white scalloped circle die under the Pattern Party DSP rectangle cut out so a clean area shows through the fan shaped cut out. Make sure the holes in both pieces still line up. Mount the second baby turtle stamp on a block. Ink it up using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Stamp the turtle as close to the bottom of the area through the fan shaped cut out in the Pattern Party DSP.
Mount the bird on a block and ink it with Balmy Blue Classic Ink Pad. Stamp the bird on top of the turtles head. Color the bird's beak with Pale Papaya Marker.
Rotate the white scalloped circle die under the Pattern Party DSP rectangle cut out so a clean area shows through the fan shaped cut out. Make sure the holes in both pieces still line up. Ink the bird with Balmy Blue Classic Ink Pad and stamp at the bottom of the area. Color the beak with Pale Papaya Marker. Mount the "hello, little one" sentiment stamp on a block. Ink it up using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Stamp the sentiment through the fan shaped cut out in the Pattern Party DSP rectangle over the bird.
Color the baby turtles with the Light Old Olive Stampin' Blend. Color the turtles toes with the Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blend. Mount the turtle shell stamp on a block and ink it with Old Olive Stampin' Classic Ink, stamp both baby turtle shells.
Mount the large turtle on a block. Ink the stamp with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and stamp on basic white cardstock, stamp 2 images as you will be fussy cutting the shell from 1 turtle to adhere on top of the other turtle.
Use the Light Old Olive Stampin' Blend and color the turtle you did not stamp on the shell. Use the Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blend to color the turtle's toes and a bit of the tail. Punch to turtle with the Turtle Builder Punch.
Mount the shell for the large turtle on a block. With a variety of Stampin Write Markers color the areas of the shell. Breathe on the block to moisten the ink and stamp on the shell of one of the turtles. You will probably have to color the areas with the markers to make them darker. Using a Basic Black Stampin' Write marker outline the colors to make them pop. With the Light Old Oliver Stampin' Blend color around the colored areas on the shell. With Paper Snips cut out just the shell from the turtle. Adhere the shell piece to the turtle you stamped and colored in Step 12.
Pick out the Scalloped Die from the Scallop Contours Dies and use it to cut the top edge of the Subtles DSP, run it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Adhere this piece of DSP to the bottom of the Pattern Party DSP rectangle cut out with Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Pick out the three cloud dies from the Give It A Whirl Dies. Put it them on top of the Basic White Cardstock. Run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
Adhere the largest cloud cut out to the front of the Pattern Party DSP on the upper right corner near the top edge of the triangle cut out but not covering it. Adhere the middle size cloud to the upper left corner of the Pattern Party DSP. Trim both clouds as they will be over hanging the rectangle piece.
Adhere the So Saffron Matt to the front of the Basic White Cardbase with adhesive of your choice.
Pick out a large, square brad of either color from the Round & Square Brads.
Lay the Pattern Party DSP rectangle cut out on top of the stamped white scalloped circle cut out so the holes line up. Insert the prongs of the brad through the holes and flatten them on the back side of the rectangle/circle cut outs.
Put Stampin' Dimensionals all over the back of the layered rectangle cut out making sure that none are too close to the scalloped circle cut out. Remove the protective backings and put another Stampin' Dimensional on top of each dimensional already in place. Remove the protective backings and adhere the layered rectangle/circle cut outs to the front of the So Saffron Matt. Give the spinner wheel a turn to make sure it spins smoothly.
Put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the turtle and adhere it to the Subtles DSP on the card front.
Decorate the inside of the card with stamps from the Turtle Friends Stamp Set and color appropriately.
