Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Seaside Spray or Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Highland Heather or Mango Melody Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock, Seaside Spray Cardstock, or Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Mount the chick image from the Welcome Easter Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp on the large white rectangle at a slight angle so the right edge of the image is about 1-3/4" from the right edge and the top of the image is about 3/4" from the top edge. Leave the stamp on the block.
Note: If you are making the bunnies only version, use the bunny image on Block D instead but stamp so the top of the ear is about 1/2" from the top edge. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the image on the block with the Memento Pad. Stamp onto a Post-It Note so you'll get some of the sticky on the back of the Post-It Note near the edge of the image.
Carefully cut out the image on the Post-It Note just inside the lines.
Put the Post-It Note cut out image over the top of the image stamped on the white cardstock.
Mount the bunny image from the Welcome Easter Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the white cardstock so it overlaps the right side of the Post-It Note image on the white cardstock. Leave about 1/4" between the right edge of the image and the right edge of the cardstock.
Note: If you are making the chicks only version, just re-ink the chick image on Block C and stamp it in the same way.
Remove the Post-It Note image from the stamped white cardstock.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the stamped white rectangle on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Dark and Light Daffodil Delight Markers to color in the head, body, and wings of the chick.
Use the Dark and Light Mango Melody Markers to color in the beak and comb of the chick.
Don't worry about coloring in the chick's feet, they will be covered by the sentiment punch out.
Use the Dark and Light Seaside Spray Markers to color in the head, body, legs, upper feet, and outer ears of the bunny.
Use the Dark and Light Highland Heather Markers to color in the inner ears, belly, and bottoms of the feet of the bunny.
Use the Color Lifter Marker to remove any excess color as needed.
Adhere the stamped and colored white rectangle to the Highland Heather or Mango Melody rectangle.
Cut a 6-1/2" piece of Seaside Spray 1/4" Metallic Ribbon or Daffodil Delight 1/4" Ruched Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted cardstock rectangle so the ribbon goes across the bottom of the animals. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Highland Heather or Mango Melody rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Seaside Spray or Daffodil Delight card.
Mount the "Happy Easter" sentiment from the Welcome Easter Set on Block H. Ink up ONLY the word "Happy" using either the Highland Heather or Mango Melody Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp near the center of the white, Seaside Spray, or Daffodil Delight strip on one end. Leave room to punch out the sentiment. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Ink up ONLY the word "Easter" of the "Happy Easter" sentiment on Block H using either the Highland Heather or Mango Melody Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp just below the previously stamped word "Happy" so it is centered side to side on the white, Seaside Spray, or Daffodil Delight strip. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put it away.
Unlock the Tailored Tag Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the card front so it is centered over the ribbon and the bottoms of the animals.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of Seaside Spray 1/4" Metallic Ribbon or Daffodil Delight 1/4" Ruched Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card on the left side of the sentiment punch out. Tie the ribbon in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Crushed Curry or Mint Macaron flower from a sheet of Flower Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the lower right side of the sentiment punch out.
