T his is the perfect card to kick off the 12 Weeks of Christmas. It's such a cool shaker card, with glittery snow behind a sparkling tree and peaceful dear!
Project Recipe
Cut papers:
Card Base: Thick Whisper White - 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
Card Front: Whisper White - 4 x 5 1/4
Using Layering Circle Framelits, die cut a circle in the Whisper White card front as shown.
Using Layering Circle Framelits, make a frame from the Silver Glimmer Paper. Use the same size circle as the one used on the Whisper White card front in the previous step, and choose another, larger circle. Nest the two and die cut as shown.
Heat emboss the sentiment:
- Stamp the sentiment with Versamark Ink. (I used a retired set called Watercolor Winter Too because I didn't have any current "Season's Greeting" stamp.)
- Sprinkle silver embossing powder over the stamped image and heat emboss using the heating tool.
Wrap the ribbon around the bottom of the card front and tie into a bow.
Assemble the Window:
- Cut a window sheet 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and attach it to the back side of the circle in the card front as shown.
Attach adhesive:
- On the back of the card front, attach Stampin Dimensionals in each of the four corners.
- On the back of the card, using Foam Adhesive Strips, apply the adhesive strip around the edge of the circle, as shown.
With the card laying flat, pile some Mica Flakes on the card base where the window will be.
Peel off the adhesive backing on the corner dimensionals and the foam strip, and attach the card front to the card base, making sure all the Mica Flakes are gathered in the center of the window.
Die Cut the tree from silver glimmer paper using the tree thinlit from the Card Front Builder Dies.
Die cut the deer fromm Whisper White using the deer thinlit from the Card Front Builder Dies.
I die cut these from the circles that were left from Steps 2 and 3 when cutting the circle for the card front and the frame from the glimmer paper.
Attach the die cut tree and deer using Glue Dots as shown on the finished card.
