A n Aqua Painter, a few ink refills (or ink pads), the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, and white heat embossing made this card fun and easy to do. This card was inspired by Gail Ellis. I used Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, and Pacific Point ink pads.
Project Recipe
Cut a 3-11/16" x 4-15/16" piece of Shimmery White cardstock. Using painter's tape, mask outer 5/16" frame all around the perimeter of the Shimmery White piece. Wet the Shimmery White cardstock inside the masked frame with an Aqua Painter (or paint brush). Put drops from ink refills--Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, and Pacific Point--into mini palettes or onto acrylic blocks (or squeeze lid of ink pad and use ink from lids). Using an Aqua Painter, add drops of ink to wet surface, and let blend. Spritz with a Stampin' Spritzer to blend inks if necessary. Remove painter's tape gently once surface has begun to dry. Allow to dry (overnight is best). Try to eliminate puddles before letting piece dry.
Use Embossing Buddy to wipe Shimmery White cardstock. Stamp largest flower image from Good Morning Magnolia with Versamark, overlapping uncoloured frame at left, bottom, and right edges. Emboss with white embossing powder, and heat set with heat tool.
Stamp sentiment with Memento black ink.
Adhere Shimmery White piece to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Basic Black cardstock.
For card base, cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4". Adhere Basic Black cardstock to Bermuda Bay card base.
Add three Glimmer Enamel Dots to card front.
Adhere 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White card inside card.
