Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Grid Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2 pieces each 5-3/4" x 6-1/4" from Soft Sky Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3" x 3-1/2" from Peekaboo Peach Cardstock
- 6 pieces each 1-3/4" square of light blue and peach flowers and green leaves on white background design from Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper
- scrap of Peekaboo Peach Cardstock at least 3" long
- 7-1/4" square from Grid Paper
Pick out the hexagon on top of three squares thinlit from the Window Box Thinlits. Place one of the pieces of Soft Sky Cardstock on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the hexagon on three squares thinlit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with the other piece of Soft Sky Cardstock.
Pick out the hexagon with floral pattern in the middle thinlit from the Window Box Thinlits. Place one of the Soft Sky box half pieces on the Precicion Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the hexagon with floral pattern thinlit on top so it is centered in the hexagon area of the box half. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces if necessary.
Use a Bone Folder to score both box half pieces on all score lines.
Adhere the squares of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper to the center of each of the six squares on the box half pieces.
Tip: If the direction of the pattern of the designer paper matters, you might want to wait and adhere the designer paper squares after you have finished assembling the box to make sure they are positioned correctly.
Use Paper Snips to cut off the two side flaps on the squares on either side of the hexagon with the cut out box half.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the top of the flap at the top of the SOLID hexagon on the one box half (not the one with the pattern cut into the hexagon). Use Paper Snips to trim off excess Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing on the Tear & Tape and adhere the flap to the inside of the bottom of the square directly below the cut out hexagon on the other box half. Make sure the score line is in line with the score lines of the flaps on either side.
Put small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the top of the flaps as shown. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess Tear & Tape Adhesive.
One at a time, remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips and adhere the box together. Make sure NOT to adhere the box shut.
Add some Ready Shreddie to the box and then add your treats (candy, jewelry, small toys, etc.). Close the box.
Mount the "Just for You" sentiment from the Watercolor Wings Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Peekaboo Peach scrap.
Unlock the Classic Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get the sentiment centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the front square of the box in the center.
Carefully remove the magnets from the back of the Stamparatus and place them on your work surface. Make sure the magnets do NOT get too close to each other or they could snap together and break.
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Place the foam mat on the base of the Stamparatus, make sure it is pushed into the upper right corner as far as possible. Place the 7-1/4" square of Grid Paper on top of the foam mat so you have some grid lines to refer to. Make sure the Grid Paper is pushed into the upper right corner as far as possible.
Place the white rectangle in the center of the Stamparatus using the lines on the Grid Paper to help you get it straight. Make a note of where you placed the cardstock by drawing some lines on the Grid Paper or putting some tiny strips of washi tape below and one the left side of the cardstock edges so you can remember exactly where to put the cardstock if it should shift. Use the magnets to hold the cardstock in place. Be sure NOT to let the magnets get too close together.
Insert one of the plates into the hinges on the right side of the Stamparatus.
Place the larger, more solid butterfly wings image from the Watercolor Wings Set stamping side down in the center of the white cardstock. Close the plate on the right side of the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Soft Sky Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate onto the cardstock and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Tip: If you have a Soft Sky Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
Remove the plate from the hinges on the right side and flip it over. Put the plate back into the hinges on the right side.
Pick out the large, wing edges image from the Watercolor Wings Set. Place it upside down on the piece of cardstock where you want to stamp the image. Close the plate on the right side of the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad.
Tip: If you have a Peekaboo Peach Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
Insert the other plate into the hinges on the top of the Stamparatus.

Pick out the large, open butterfly framelit from the Bold Butterfly Framelits. Place the stamped butterfly rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the butterfly framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Keep the framelit out.

Use the Bone Folder to score a line down either side of the stamped butterfly body. Fold the wings up along the score lines.
Use tiny pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the body only to adhere the stamped butterfly on top of the Peekaboo Peach butterfly cut out.
Use a tiny piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive in the center of the back of the matted butterfly image to adhere the butterfly to the top of the box.
