B right and cheery card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Soft Sky Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Emerald Envy Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of the large green and blue dots on white background design from the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/2" square from Soft Sky Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Place the Naturally Eclectic Designer Paper into the Fluttering Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the designer paper inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed designer paper to the Emerald Envy rectangle. Then, adhere it to the front of the Soft Sky card.
Cut a 9" piece of Emerald Envy 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Put a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the center of the card front horizontally so it goes almost to the edges of the designer paper. Remove the protective backing. Adhere the ribbon to the Tear & Tape by folding and pleating it on the ends and leaving it smooth and flat in the center.
Put the white square on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Mount the small solid butterfly image from the Watercolor Wings Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Soft Sky Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square slightly towards the top.
Tip: Placing the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat will help insure that you get a clean, crisp stamped image when using photopolymer stamps.
Mount the small butterfly with the dots in the wings image from the Watercolor Wings Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped butterfly image.
Mount the small butterfly wing tips image from the Watercolor Wings Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it over the previously stamped butterfly images.
Mount the large butterfly body image from the Watercolor Wings Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the previously stamped butterfly wings.
Mount the antennae image from the Watercolor Wings Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad. Stamp it on top of the head of the butterfly on the previously stamped image.
Mount one of the long, skinny sentiments from the Watercolor Wings Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad and stamp it just below the butterfly image.
Pick out the scalloped edge circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 3" scalloped circle. Place the square of Soft Sky Cardstock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the smooth edge circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-5/8" circle. Place the stamped butterfly image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the smooth circle framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the butterfly circle to the center of the scalloped Soft Sky circle.
Adhere the matted butterfly circle to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals so it is centered over the line of ribbon.
