W atercolored card with lots of color just in time for spring!
Project Recipe
Cut a piece of watercolor paper to 3½"x5". Stamp the tree trunk with Versamark ink in the center of the panel. Sprinkle with Smoky Slate embossing powder, tap of the excess, then heat with the Heat Tool until melted.
Wet the watercolor panel with an Aquapainter. Then use the Aquapainter to pick up the different colors of reinker and add to the panel in a radiating pattern using the tree as the center. Dry with the Heat Tool.
Sprinkle some drops of water on the dry panel with your fingers and dab dry. This removes some of the color where the water lands. Dry again.
Outline the panel with Signo white gel pen.
Cut a 1" wide strip of vellum. Swipe with the Embossing Buddy. Stamp sentiment in Versamark, then heat emboss with Silver (or retired Pewter if you still have some like I did).
Cut a 4"x5¼" panel of Smoky Slate card stock, adhere the main panel to this.
Center the sentiment strip on the lower part of the panel and trim so that the edges just extend past the Smoky Slate edges. Stitch the vellum in place with sewing machine.
Punch a few hearts from a scrap of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with the Confetti Heart Border punch and adhere 3 to the card front near the end of the sentiment.
Adhere the assembled panel to the front of a white A2 card base.
