Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and copy paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" from copy paper
- 3-3/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- one strip each 7/8" x 4-1/4" from each of these colors of cardstock - Real Red, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Shaded Spruce, Pacific Point, and Gorgeous Grape
Place the piece of copy paper on your work surface in front of you. One at a time, adhere the strips of colored cardstock to the copy paper so the long edges butt up against each other in this order from top to bottom - Real Red, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Shaded Spruce, Pacific Point, and Gorgeous Grape. Don't worry when the strips leave a bit of copy paper blank at the bottom.
Note: You are adhering the colored cardstock strips to the lightweight copy paper so it is easy for the die to cut through everything in the next step.
Pick out the large rectangle with a notch on one side and a tiny hole in the center die from the Give It A Whirl Dies. Put it on top of the strips of colored cardstock/copy paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the red strip is at the top and the notch in the die is on the right side. Get as much of the red and purple stripes as you can inside the die. Run through the machine.
Pick out the heart shape with a tiny hole at the bottom die from the Give It A Whirl Dies. Put it on top of the die cut colored strips rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the hole in the die lines up with the hole in the cardstock and the heart shape is straight above the hole. Run through the machine.
Pick out the large, scalloped edge circle with a tiny hole in the center die from the Give It A Whirl Dies. Put it on top of the Basic White square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Work on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the die cut colored strips rectangle on the white scalloped circle cut out so the holes in the centers line up and a bit of the edge of the scalloped circle shows in the notch on the right side.
As you are ready to stamp using the Warm Welcome Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Use scissors to cut apart the "Open House Open Heart Open Mind" stamp into three separate lines.
Or mount the entire stamp on a block and one at a time cover the lines of the stamp that you don't want to stamp using Masking Paper or a Post-It Note.
If you cut the stamp apart, mount the "Open Mind" sentiment on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white circle through the heart shaped cut out in the colored strips rectangle so it is centered inside the heart shape.
If you are using Masking Paper or a Post-It Note to cover part of the stamp, make sure the "Open Mind" sentiment is not covered. Ink it up using the Real Red Ink Pad. REMOVE the Masking Paper or Post-It Note. Stamp it on the white circle through the heart shaped cut out in the colored strips rectangle so it is centered inside the heart shape. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Rotate the white scalloped circle cut out under the colored strips rectangle cut out so a clean area shows through the heart shaped cut out. Make sure the holes in both pieces still line up.

Mount the tiny, solid heart image from the Warm Welcome Set on Block A. One at a time, ink up the stamp using each color of Ink Pad and stamp it onto the white circle through the heart shaped cut out in the colored strips rectangle as shown. Remember to clean the stamp between each color of ink using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Pick out a small, white, circle or square brad from the Round & Square Brads.
Lay the colored strips rectangle cut out on top of the stamped white scalloped circle cut out so the holes line up. Insert the prongs of the brad through the holes and flatten them on the back side of the rectangle/circle cut outs.
Put Stampin' Dimensionals and/or Mini Stampin' Dimensionals all over the back of the colored strips rectangle cut out making sure that none are too close to the scalloped circle cut out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the layered rectangle/circle cut outs to the front of the Basic White Thick card in the center. Give the spinner wheel a turn to make sure it spins smoothly.
