B right birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Orchid Oasis Cardstock
- 2-5/8" square of diagonal Balmy Blue lines on white background design from Subtles 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-5/8" x 2-7/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Insert the Orchid Oasis rectangle into the dots embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Orchid Oasis rectangle to the front of the Balmy Blue card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Warm Welcome Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "it's your day" sentiment from the Warm Welcome Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Starry Sky Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the bottom of the vertical 1-5/8" x 2-7/8" white rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the bottom.
Adhere the sentiment stamped white rectangle to the center of the Subtles Designer Paper rectangle so about 1/2" of the designer paper sticks out on either side and a small amount of the white rectangle sticks out at the top and bottom of the designer paper. Make sure the diagonal stripes match the direction of the stripes on the present image from the Warm Welcome Set.
Adhere the layered designer paper/sentiment stamped cardstock to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 1" from the top.
Cut a 9-3/4" piece of the Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon into thirds. Lay it across the center of the sentiment stamped white rectangle on the card front as shown. Use a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the ribbon in place. Leave the protective backing on the Tear & Tape for now.
Mount the stack of presents image from the Warm Welcome Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Starry Sky Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Use the Balmy Blue Stampin' Write Marker to color in every other diagonal stripe on the center present in the stack.
Use the Balmy Blue and Orchid Oasis Stampin' Write Markers to color in the dots on the bottom present in the stack.
Cut out the colored present stack by hand using Paper Snips Scissors.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape Adhesive holding the ribbon in place.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored stack of presents cut out to the front of the card as shown so it is centered side to side and is just above the sentiment. Make sure you cover all the Tear & Tape Adhesive.
