Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Call Me Clover Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of pink and red dogwood blooms design from Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/8" x 3-7/8" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/4" of green maze on white background design from Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
Adhere the large piece of Painted Seasons Designer Paper with the dogwood blooms on it to the front of the Call Me Clover card.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Vibrant Vases stamps, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "just for you" sentiment from the Vibrant Vases Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Call Me Clover Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle as close to the top as possible.
Mount the outline image of the large group of wide open flowers on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp once onto Grid Paper, then WITHOUT re-inking, stamp it on the white rectangle in the center just below the sentiment.
Place the stamped white rectangle on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the dark colors first and then the light colors to blend the colors and color in the spaces. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Light Poppy Parade Marker to color in the centers of the flowers and the lines on the petals.
Use the Light and Dark Petal Pink Markers to color in the rest of the flowers and blend the colors.
Use the fine tip of the Lemon Lime Twist Marker to color in the leaves on the flower bouquet. Use the fine tip of the Call Me Clover Marker to very lightly go across the center line of each leaf.
Adhere the small rectangle of Painted Seasons Designer Paper to the bottom of the stamped and colored white rectangle.
Adhere the white rectangle to the Petal Pink rectangle.
Cut a 3" piece of the Call Me Clover 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted white rectangle so it covers the seam between the white cardstock and the designer paper. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the Petal Pink rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the card in the center.
Mount the outline large vase with zig zags image from the Vibrant Vases Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Call Me Clover Ink Pad. Stamp it upside down on the bottom of the long strip of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock.
Tip: If you stamp the vase image upside down, it it easier to line it up in the punch for punching.
Unlock the Vases Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped vase image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding large vase punching area. Punch.
Use the fine tip of the Call Me Clover Marker to color in the large zig zag on the bottom of the vase.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the vase punch out to the front of the card so the top of the vase is just under the bottom of the bouquet and the bottom of the vase overlaps the ribbon a bit.
Cut a 2-1/2" piece of the Call Me Clover 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon on the card front on the left side of the vase and tie it in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
