Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Mint Macaron Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" of multicolored dots on white background design from Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 3" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Mint Macaraon Cardstock at least 1-1/2" wide
- scrap of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock at least 1-1/2" wide
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 1" wide
Slide the upper right corner of the Balmy Blue rectangle into the angle of the Detailed Trio Punch that punches the trio of pointy ovals on top of the small dot. Use the guides on the base of the punch to line up the corner in the punch. Press down firmly on the center of the punch to punch.
Slide the same upper right corner of the Balmy Blue rectangle into the angle of the Detailed Trio Punch that rounds off a corner. Use the guides on the base of the punch to line up the corner in the punch. Press down firmly on the center of the punch to punch.
Slide the upper right corner of the front of the Mint Macaron card into the angle of the Detailed Trio Punch that rounds off a corner. Use the guides on the base of the punch to line up the corner in the punch. Press down firmly on the center of the punch to punch.
Slide the upper right corner of the back of the Mint Macaron card into the angle of the Detailed Trio Punch that rounds off a corner. Use the guides on the base of the punch to line up the corner in the punch. Press down firmly on the center of the punch to punch.
Adhere the piece of Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the punched Balmy Blue rectangle so the punched corner is the upper right corner and about 1/4" of blue shows below the designer paper.
Cut a 5" piece of Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock/designer paper layers so it is covers the seam between the designer paper and cardstock. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the punched Mint Macaron card.
Carefully peel up one small Mint Macaron Faceted Dot from a sheet of Faceted Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it over the small dot punched in the upper right corner of the Balmy Blue rectangle.
Unlock the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Slide the large square of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Unlock the 2" Circle Punch. Slide the large square of Whisper White Cardstock into the punch. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Varied Vases stamps, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the outline image of the curving branch of orchids from the Varied Vases Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad so you only ink up about 1/2 of the straight stem. Stamp it on the top of the punched white circle so the curve of the orchids follows the curve of the circle as close to the top of the circle as possible.
Mount the solid orchids image from the Varied Vases Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp off once onto Grid Paper. Without re-inking, stamp over the top of the outline orchid flowers image already stamped on the white circle.
Use the fine tip of the Fresh Fig Marker to color in the circles in the centers of the three large orchids.
Mount the long, solid scalloped edge image from the Varied Vases Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp it across the very bottom of the white circle so it is perpendicular to the straight orchid stem.
Mount the smaller, solid with designs engraved vase image from the Varied Vases Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Whisper White Cardstock so the top of the vase is pointing down.
Tip: If you stamp the vase image upside down, it it easier to line it up in the punch for punching.
Unlock the Vases Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped vase image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding small vase punching area. Punch.
Adhere the punched out vase to the stamped white circle on the left side so it covers the end of the straight orchid stem and appears to be sitting on top of the scalloped edge line.
Adhere the stamped white circle to the center of the large Soft Sea Foam circle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the matted circles to the card front on the left side so the top of the scalloped edge line is in line with the bottom of the ribbon.
Unlock the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Slide the scrap of Mint Macaron Cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Unlock the 1" Circle Punch. Slide the scrap of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Mount the "hello" or "thanks" sentiment image from the Varied Vases Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Soft Sea Foam circle.
Adhere the stamped Soft Sea Foam circle to the center of the Mint Macaron circle.
Use SNAIL and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the matted small sentiment circles to the front of the card so they overlap the right side of the larger matted circles and the sentiment is in line with the ribbon.
