T
his card brings me back to my high school days when I worked in a small gift shop. Valentine's Day was always the busiest day...I can not even fathom the number of teddy bears I tied to balloons to!
This card brings back wonderful memories!
Project Recipe
On scrap Whisper White stamp the bear.
It's easiest to stamp the darkest to lightest colors with this 3 stamp image.
1. Soft Suede....the most detailed stamp
2. Crumb Cake
3. Sahara Sand...the least detailed stamp.
Cut out the bear with paper snips.
Stamp the detailed bow image on a piece of scrap Whisper White. Ink the solid bow image in Real Red, stamp off on scrap paper . Stamp the image over the detailed image.
Punch out with Holly Berry Builder Punch.
Adhere with Snail Adhesive to the bear.
On another piece of scrap Whisper White stamp the balloons. Start with the detailed image 1st and then ink the solid image, stamp off on scrap paper and then stamp over the detailed image.
I used Real Red, Flirty Flamingo and Pink Pirouette.
Punch Balloons out with Balloon Bouquet Builder Punch
Layer a piece of Flirty Flamingo DSP (3 1/2 x 4 3/4) onto a piece of Whisper White (3 3/4 x 5)
Adhere to a Real Red card base (8 1/2 x 5 folded in half)
Adhere the bear to the bottom left of card.
On wrong side of Flirty Flaming balloon, put down some snail attach a piece of white baker's twine. then attach to card front.
tie pieces of baker's twine around the tails of the 2 remaining balloons. I like to curl the short tails with the dull side of my paper snips.
Adhere the Pink Pirouette Balloon to the card with snail. Attach the Real Red balloon with dimensionals.
Tie the strings together in a knot and attach to the bears hand with a rolled up glue dot.
Trim the string ends
Adhere a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White to the inside of your card. I stamped the Happy Valentine's Day verse along with another Pink Pirouette balloon.
