Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Magenta Madness Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Magenta Madness Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" of pink, yellow, and white stripes design from Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are vertical on the horizontal strip
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square of pink, yellow, and white stripes design from Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Place the Buffalo Check background stamp rubber side up on Grid Paper on your work surface. Ink up the stamp by pouncing or rubbing the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad all over it. Leave the inked up stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White rectangle on the stamp so it is straight. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly all over. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Tip: I just clean my background stamps by running them under water until the water runs clear. Then, I let them air dry.
Adhere the Buffalo Check stamped white piece to the front of the Magenta Madness card.
Pick out the smooth oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies that cuts out a smooth oval that is 2-5/8" x 3-5/8". Put it on top of the Melon Mambo rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Repeat with the remaining, smaller Basic White rectangle.
Adhere the Magenta Madness oval cut out to the front of the horizontal card so it is centered top to bottom and is about 3/4" from the left side.
Adhere the Basic White oval cut out to the front of the horizontal card so it is centered top to bottom and overlaps the Magenta Madness oval so about 3/8" of magenta shows on the left edge.
As you are ready to stamp using the Under My Umbrella Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the outline of the open umbrella top image from the Under My Umbrella Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Magenta Madness Ink Pad. Stamp it on the strip of Flowers For Every Season Designer Paper near one end. Leave room to punch the image out.
Unlock the Umbrella Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped umbrella top into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Adhere the umbrella top punch out to the top of the white oval at a slight angle as shown.
Mount the umbrella handle image from the Under My Umbrella Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Magenta Madness Ink Pad. Stamp it near the bottom of the thin strip of Daffodil Delight Cardstock so the crook is at the top of the image. Leave room to punch the image out.
Holding the unlocked Umbrella Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped umbrella handle into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the umbrella handle punch out to the white oval at a slight angle as shown. Tuck the top of the punch out under the bottom of the umbrella top punch out.
Mount the boots image from the Under My Umbrella Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Magenta Madness Ink Pad. Stamp it on the square of Flowers For Every Season Designer Paper, making sure the stripes are vertical.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the boots by hand.
Adhere the cut out boots to the bottom of the white oval on the left side so they cover the bottom of the umbrella handle punch out. Make sure to leave the right side of the boots loose so you can slide the sentiment punch out underneath in a later step.
Mount a horizontal sentiment of choice from the Under My Umbrella Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Magenta Madness Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one end of the remaining horizontal Daffodil Delight strip, leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Timeless Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so the left edge is tucked under the right edge of the cut out boots a bit and the right edge hangs over the right edge of the white oval.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Magenta Madness dot from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the right edge of the sentiment punch out.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Magenta Madness 2020-2022 In Color 1/4" Ribbon and of the Daffodil Delight 1/4" Ruched Ribbon.
Lay the yellow ribbon on top of the pink ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbons. Trim then ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbons knot to the front of the card at a slight angle at the bottom left side of the cut out boots.
