H ere is a fun fold you can adapt for any style of card. It is a standard size base with a smaller card on top.
Project Recipe
Cut paper and cardstock:
~Cardstock base in color #1- 4 1/4" x 8 1/4". Score on long side at 5 1/2"
~Cardstock color #2 (can be same as base, if desired)- 3" x 8 1/2", score on long side at 4 1/4"
~DSP Pattern 1 for base- 4" x 5 1/4"
~DSP or cardstock for base front panel- 2 1/2" x 4"
~ DSP for small cardfront- 2 3/4" x 4"
~White- 2 3/4" x 4" for small card inside, plus some scraps for sentiment and any desired diecut images.
Crease folds on both cards with bone folder.
Adhere large dsp to larger card base.
Front flap will fold up from bottom and cover part of this patterned paper.
Adhere dsp to flap front and front of smaller card. See photos for layout.
Stamp sentiment for card front onto white scrap. Trim to size, diecut out, or punch to desired shape. I recommend Mossy Meadow or black. Or choose something that will coordinate with project.
Stamp inner sentiment onto 2 3/4" x 4" white piece.
Stamp and color any images onto white scraps you want to diecut for card front or other panels. If using blends to color I recommend using Tuxedo Black ink to stamp image before coloring.
Color images with blends. Diecut out.
Use blender to blend a little color from ink pad onto sentiments. I used Pear Pizzazz. Use a light touch.
Use dimentionals to adhere front sentiment onto front of smaller card
Add diecuts, ribbon, and pearls to front as desired. See my examples for help, if needed. Use gluedots for ribbon and twine bows.
Add Wink of Stella around any images you want for focal points or around anything you want to high light. Be careful on anything you have colored so you don't smear the ink. DSP images don't do that.
Don't forget to decorate your envelope, even if it is just a little image or some dsp onto the flap. No naked envelopes :)
