S imple, sparkly Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products. Also can be done in shades of purple.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Glimmer Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue or Purple Posy Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of one of the designs from the Feels Like Frost 6x6" Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the design is horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Balmy Blue or Highland Heather Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 6" from Sparkle Glimmer Paper
Adhere the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper rectangle to the front of a Balmy Blue or Purple Posy card.
Rub the Embossing Buddy all over the Balmy Blue or Highland Heather rectangle.
Mount the "May your days be Merry & Bright" banners sentiment on Block I. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Balmy Blue or Highland Heather rectangle.
Place the stamped banners sentiment rectangle in the center of a piece of Grid Paper. Sprinkle on Shimmer White Stampin’ Emboss Powder so it covers the whole rectangle. Tap off excess powder. Return extra powder to the container.
Heat with the Heat Tool until the powder is completely melted (shiny and more opaque white).
Pick out the matching banners die from the Christmas Cardinal Dies. Put it on top of the stamped and heat embossed sentiment banners on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment banner is centered. Run through the tool.
Unlock the Leaf Punch. Slide one end of the Sparkle Glimmer Paper strip into the punch. Punch. Slide the Glimmer Paper over and punch two more times so you have 3 leaf punch outs.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the leaf punch outs to the back of the sentiment banners cut out so they will stick out to the sides as shown. Make sure the glimmery side is facing up along with the sentiment banners.
Add more Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment banners if needed. Adhere the sentiment banners with leaf punch outs attached to the card front.
