Project Recipe
Cardstock Sizes:
8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Sahara Sand
4" x 5 1/4" Flirty Flamingo
3 3/4" x 5" Whisper White & Best Dressed DSP
Scrap Whisper White for cactus, gecko and party hats
Score cardstock at 4 1/4" and burnish your score line with a bone folder.
Glue down the 4" x 5 1/4" Flirty Flamingo to the card base.
Die cut the 3 3/4" x 5" Best Dressed DSP using the 2nd largest Stitched So Sweetly Die. Once the dsp is die cut, place the dsp over the top of the 3 3/4" x 5" Whisper White and use a pencil to lightly trace the edge of the opening so you know where to stamp the meer cats. I erased the pencil mark after I stamped the images.
Stamp the meer cat image in Tuxedo Black Ink and the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo. Then color the meer cats using the Crumb Cake Blends.
On the scrap Whisper White cardstock, stamp the birthday hat image in once in each of the following inks: Pretty Peacock, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron & two of the Blackberry Bliss. Then stamp the cactus and gecko in Tuxedo black. I then colored the gecko using the Old Olive Blends and the cactus using Old Olive, Flirty Flamingo and light Crumb Cake Blends. Cut out all of these stamped images.
Glue down the 3 3/4" x 5" Whisper White cardstock to the center of the Flirty Flamingo, then center the dsp over the Whisper White and adhere using dimensionals.
Glue the party hats onto the meer cats. Then glue down the gecko at the top edge of the frame and the cactus over the bottom corner.
I colored Wink of Stella onto the Flirty Flamingo Blends on the cactus to finish it off.
