Project Recipe
Candle Holder
6 x 4 1/4 Cajun Craze scored at 1/4 on the 4" edge (2).
6 x 4 1/4 DSP scored at 1/4 on the 4" edge (2).
(you could do all 4 sides solid with 4 cutouts instead of 2)
3 1/2" square Vellum cardstock (2)
Cut the leaf out of each of the Cajun Craze sides. Adhere the vellum to the inside behind the open leaf space.
Cut the solid leaf with the detailed leaf inside from both Tranquil Tide and Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Adhere the solid edge along the edge of the leaf cut out in the side of the holder. Adhere the opposite detail piece to the inside on the vellum.
Crease along the score lines and add tear and tape to each edge. Piece the edges together to form a box that will slide over the base you will create next.
Base - use cardboard or white backing from 12 x 12 paper packages. Cut 4 7/8 x 4 7/8 square. Score 1/2" from all 4 edges. Clip one side of each corner to fold in to attach sides together. Attach tear and tape strips to each snipped corner and adhere together to form 3 7/8" square base. Attach tear and tape to the outside of each side to adhere the candle holder.
Slide the candle holder over the base and press to adhere being careful to line up on all sides before pressing!
Use a battery operated votive candle inside.
Invitation:
Stampin Up Notecards & Envelopes were used for this project.
Stamp the door from At Home with You Stamp Set. I used Tranquil Tide as my front door is a similar shade of green. You could use the Wood Textures Paper or a cardstock that simulates your own front door using an additional layer of darker cardstock if it is a light colored door.
Cut out with the At Home Framelits so that the door opens. Be careful to have the scored edge on the right side. Cut out the windows
Cut a piece of Crushed Curry to fit behind the door either cutting another whole door with the die or cutting a piece that fits into the open door. Stamp You are Invited from Another Wonderful Year on the Crushed Curry so that it shows when you open the door. I used Early Expresso ink.
Stamp the welcome mat with Early Expresso on Whisper White and cut with the Framelit.
Stamp the Pumpkin and Sunflower Arrangement with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and color with Blendables.
I printed the inside of the notecard prior to folding them on the computer with all the dinner details!
Napkin Ring
Stamp the Pumpkins and Sunflowers and color as you did for the Invitation for the Napkin Rinds. Attach with dimensionals to a Starburst Punched Circle. I used Cajun Craze.
Punch 2 holes using the handheld circle punch.
Thread through each hole from the back with 2 pieces of braided linen trim (I used the retired rope trim - separated as I have so much of it!) and tie a knot on top. I then wrapped it around the napkin and tied it back over the top of the circle.
Place card
4 x 3 1/2 Whisper White Cardstock scored at 1 3/4"
Stamp the arrangement in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and Color with Blendables.
Stamp gather saying from Painted Harvest set in Early Expresso ink.
Use Stampin Write Basic Black market to add name.
Favor Box
Cut box using Takeout Thinlets Die. Cut 2 and use Tear and Tape to adhere together.
Cut DSP using the box panel shaped die.
Cut 1 each detailed long leaves from Detailed Leaves Thinlets in Blackberry Bliss and Tranquil Tide.
Stamp enjoy! in Cajun Craze from Takeout Treats and cut tag from thinlets.
Line up the leaves behind the tag and adhere with a mini glue dot and trim the stems. Run the Braided Trim through the tag and the leaves and wrap around the box and tie in a bow on top.
