P retty card perfect to let someone know you are thinking about them using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crumb Cake Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square of shiny purple flowers and green leaves on mottled white and light brown background design from Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 3" from Shimmery White Cardstock
Lightly spray the large Whisper White rectangle with water. This will help you get a deeper impression when you dry emboss it.
Insert the damp Whisper White rectangle into the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder so the lines of lace will be horizontal when the cardstock is horizontal. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Set the dry embossed cardstock aside to let it dry thoroughly.
Tip: You can use a Heat Tool to speed up drying if you wish.
Mount the teapot image from the Tea Together Set on Block E. Make sure to remove the large, solid center of rubber from the center of the stamp. Ink up the stamp using the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the square of Share What You Love Specialty Designer Paper.
Pick out the matching, open, teapot die from the Tea Time Dies. Place the stamped teapot image on the designer paper square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the open teapot die on top so it is centered over the stamped teapot image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the cup on a saucer image from the Tea Together Set on Block D. Make sure to remove the large, solid center of rubber from the center of the stamp. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Shimmery White Cardstock rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open, teacup on saucer die from the Tea Time Dies. Place the stamped teapot image on the designer paper square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the open teacup on saucer die on top so it is centered over the stamped teacup on saucer image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: I prefer to cut out the image before I color it in. That way if the die slips going through the Big Shot, I haven't wasted a bunch of time coloring the image!
Place the stamped and cut out teacup on saucer image on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the dark colors first and then the light colors to blend the colors and color in the spaces. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Light and Dark Blackberry Bliss and Light and Dark Rich Razzleberry Markers to color in the cup and saucer. Leave a space in the center of the top of the cup for the "tea."
Use the Light and Dark Crumb Cake Markers to color in the tea in the center of the top of the cup.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess ink.
Mount either of the smaller sentiments from the Tea Together Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blackberrry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the colored teacup.
If the dry embossed Whisper White rectangle is dry, adhere it to the Rich Razzleberry rectangle and then to the front of the Crumb Cake card.
Tip: I use strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the edges of the dry embossed rectangle to make sure it stays flat since it was heavily dry embossed and wet!
Adhere the cut out teapot image to the front of the card on the right side.
Adhere the stamped, colored, and cut out teacup on saucer image to the front of the card on the left side so it overlaps the left edge of the teapot a bit.
Cut a 3" piece of Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle on the lower portion of the teapot handle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three medium Blackberry Bliss dots from a sheet of Faceted Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the card front.
