D iaper fold pouch treat holders using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 10" square of Dashing Along Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Tip: If you want a larger pouch, use a 12" square of designer paper. If you want a smaller pouch, use a smaller square of designer paper. Try using scratch paper or a piece of designer paper you don't really care about first to help you decide how big of a pouch you need.
Fold the 10" square of designer paper in half diagonally so that the side of the paper you want to show the most is on the outside. You should have a large triangle. Use a Bone Folder to get a sharp fold.
Take the lower right corner and fold it over the middle so the corner is in the center of the left edge of the triangle. Use a Bone Folder to get a sharp fold.
Take the lower left corner and fold it over the middle so the corner is in the center of the right edge of the triangle. Make sure the edge is in line with the previously folded edge. Use a Bone Folder to get a sharp fold.
Fold one layer of the top corner and fold it down. This creates the pouch. Use a Bone Folder to get a sharp fold.
Mount the diagonally striped label image from the Takeout Treats Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sponge Brayer and Garden Green Ink Pad by rolling the brayer across the open ink pad several times to get it inky and then rolling it across the rubber surface of the stamp several times until the stamp is completely inked. Stamp in the center of the larger white rectangle.
Tip: I find using a brayer is a good way to ink up a stamp with fine lines cut into it especially if you have really juicy ink pads. This keeps the ink from seeping into the fine lines and blurring the design.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Brayers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Pick out the matching label framelit from the Takout Thinlits. Place the stamped label image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the label framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped label image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the label cut out to the front of the pouch near the bottom of the flap.
Mount the "something sweet to eat" sentiment from the Takeout Tags Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the thin white strip.
Pick out the long, skinny, folding label framelit from the Takout Thinlits. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the label framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Fold along the lines on the sides of the sentiment label so the center of the label pops up.
Use a Mini Glue Dot on the ends of the sentiment label cut out to adhere the sentiment label across the center of the striped label cut out.
Mount the large heart with little x's and o's in it image from the Takeout Treats Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining piece of white cardstock.
Tip: Use a clean, dry Sponge Brayer as outlined above to ink up your stamp if your ink pad is really juicy.
Pick out the matching heart framelit from the Takout Thinlits. Place the stamped heart image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the heart framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped heart image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the heart cut out to the front of the pouch so it is tucked under the sentiment label at a slight angle and pokes up above the right side of the striped label a bit.
Carefully peel up a tiny pearl from a sheet of Pearl Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the upper left side of the heart.
Tuck your treats inside the pouch.
