F un candy boxes for Halloween using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer for one box:
- 5-1/2" x 6" from Cardstock (I used Lemon Lime Twist, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Pumpkin Pie)
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Cardstock (I used Lemon Lime Twist, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Pumpkin Pie)
Pick out the half takeout box framelit from the Takeout Thinlits. Place the larger piece of colored cardstock (I used Lemon Lime Twist, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Pumpkin Pie) on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on your Big Shot. Place the half takeout box framelit on top as close to one side as possible. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Keep the framelit out for use on the next step.
Place the cut cardstock back on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on your Big Shot. Place the half takeout box framelit on top as close to the other side as possible so it cuts out the remaining cardstock. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Make sure you have some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink.
Mount the small grouping of candies and tiny stars image from the Takeout Treats Set on Block A. Ink it up with a coordinating color of ink (I used Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, and Pumpkin Pie) and stamp it randomly all over the sides and top flaps of both box halves. Let some of the images go off the edges. Rotate the stamp every so often. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Fold along all score lines and crease with a Bone Folder.
Put some strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the top of the box bottom on one of the box halves. Remove the protective backings. Adhere the other box half bottom to it.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the small flaps on the sides of each box side. One at a time, remove the protective backings and adhere the small flaps to the side of box next to it until you have a complete box.
Fill the box with treats. Close the box by interlocking the top flaps.
Cut a 10" piece of Black 1/8" Cord.
Place the box on the center of the cord. Bring the cord up on the sides of the box and tie closed on the top using a knot. Trim the ends.
Mount the "less tricks and more treats" sentiment from the Takeout Treats Set on Block B. Ink it up with the coordinating color of ink (I used Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, and Pumpkin Pie) and stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the octagonal label framelit from the Takeout Thinlits. Place the stamped sentiment on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the octagonal label framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the brush tip of a coordinating color of Marker (I used Lemon Lime Twist, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Pumpkin Pie) to outline the edges of the sentiment label.
Pick out the long, skinny banner framelit from the Takeout Thinlits. Place the smaller piece of colored cardstock (I used Lemon Lime Twist, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Pumpkin Pie) on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on your Big Shot. Place the long, skinny banner framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Fold the banner cut out on the score lines on either end to make the banner pop up.
Put some SNAIL across the center, flat portion of the banner cut out. Adhere the stamped and outlined label cut out to the center of the banner cut out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the label/banner to the front of the box so it is centered.
