Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Thick Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Mount the Tags & Tidings stamp on Block F. Place the mounted stamp on Grid Paper on your work surface so the stamp is facing up. Ink up the "Christmas Greetings" crossed candy canes tag (in the center of the right side) and the gingerbread man (top center) with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad by rubbing or pouncing the pad on the stamp. Leave the inked up stamp laying on your work surface inky stamp side up. Place the 2" x 2-1/4" Whisper White rectangle on the top of the inky stamp over the "Christmas Greetings" crossed candy canes tag. Place the 1-1/2" x 2" Crumb Cake rectangle over the gingerbread man. Fold the Grid Paper over the stamp and rub firmly all over. Unfold the Grid Paper and carefully remove the cardstock pieces from the background stamp.
Place the stamped white rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Christmas Tags Thinlits on top so the banner tag in the center of the left side is centered over the stamped "Christmas Greetings" with crossed candy canes image. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the stamped Crumb Cake rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Christmas Tags Thinlits on top so the gingerbread tag in the center of the top edge is centered over the stamped gingerbread man image. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: Make sure none of the thinlit hangs over the edges of the platform or it will catch on the sides of the Big Shot which could damage your thinlit or Big Shot or both.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one end of the strip of 1-1/2" x 4" Poppy Parade Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Candy Cane Season Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the candy canes forming a heart image from the Candy Cane Season Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the punched Poppy Parade strip so it is centered and as close to the top of the notch as possible.
Adhere the "Christmas Greetings" crossed candy canes tag to the punched Poppy Parade strip so it is centered and just over the stamped candy canes heart.
Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock at the top of the punched Poppy Parade strip by following the curve of the white tag.
Use the 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch to punch a couple of overlapping holes in the top of the tag where the hole is already cut out on the white tag.
Cut a 6" piece of Poppy Parade 1/4" Mini Striped Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon through the hole in the tag. Holding both ends of the ribbon together, tie a half knot in the ends. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a pearl white sequin from a sheet of Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the bottom of the tag so it overlaps one of the candy canes in the candy cane heart near the bottom.
As you are ready to stamp using the Apron of Love Set, place the paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the outline apron image from the Apron of Love Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the Whisper White Thick rectangle.
Pick out the apron framelit from the Apron Builder Framelits. Place the stamped apron image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the apron framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped apron image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the half-circle, scallop-edged pocket framelit from the Apron Builder Framelits. Place the 1-1/2" x 2" Poppy Parade rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the pocket framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the rolling pin framelit from the Apron Builder Framelits. Place the 1" x 3" Crumb Cake rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the rolling pin framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the "made with (heart symbol)" sentiment from the Apron of Love Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the pocket cut out.
Adhere the rolling pin to the apron cut out at a slight angle so the handle on one end just touches the curve on the left side of the apron.
Adhere the pocket cut out to the bottom of the apron so it is centered side to side and covers the bottom of the rolling pin cut out.
Use Paper Snips to trim off the tag hole on the top of the gingerbread man cut out.
Use the fine tip of the Poppy Parade Marker to color in the details on the gingerbread man cut out.
Adhere the gingerbread man to the front of the apron so it overlaps the rolling pin on the right side just a tiny bit and one leg is tucked under the top of the pocket.
Place the apron on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Use the Paper-Piercing Tool to poke a hole in either side of the top of the apron. Wiggle the tool around a bit to make the holes a little larger.
Cut a 6" piece of Linen Thread.
Poke one end of the Linen Thread through one of the holes in the top of the apron from the back. Tie a couple of half knots in the end of the thread to secure it.
Poke the other end of the Linen Thread through the other hole in the top of the apron from the back. Tie a couple of half knots in the end of the thread to secure it.
You should have a loop of Linen Thread about 1-1/2" to 2" long at the top of the apron.
Trim off excess Linen Thread on either end of the knots.
Cut a 3" piece of Poppy Parade 1/4" Mini Striped Ribbon.
Use a half knot to tie the ribbon around one side of the Linen Thread at the top of the apron. Trim the ends.
