Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of books design from Monster Bash Designer Series Paper, cut so the design is horizontal
- 3" square with large haunted house in center from haunted houses design from Monster Bash Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Terracotta Tile Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- multiple pieces of Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, and Terracotta Tile Cardstock each 3/4" x 1-1/4"
Pick out the top of the snow globe die from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies. Put it on top of the books design rectangle of Monster Bash Designer Paper on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is about 1/4" from the top and about 3/8" from the right side. Run through the tool.
Tip: You are using the large rectangle of designer paper with the shape cut out of the top on this project. Throw away the flattened circle cut out of designer paper or save it to use as scrap on a future project.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the square of Monster Bash Designer Paper with the haunted house in the center on the large Pumpkin Pie rectangle in the upper left corner. WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the books rectangle of Monster Bash Designer Paper on top so it is centered on the Pumpkin Pie rectangle. Carefully move the haunted house square around so the house is centered in the cut out area of the books rectangle. Remove the books rectangle. Use a pencil to mark the upper left corner of the haunted house square.
Adhere the haunted house square to the Pumpkin Pie rectangle so the upper left corner lines up with the pencil marks you made in the previous step.
Adhere the Pumpkin Pie rectangle to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Rub the inside of a Snow Globe Shaker Dome with the Embossing Buddy to help remove some of the static. Then, wipe out any powder from the Embossing Buddy using a clean, dry paper towel.
Pick out the double, small jack o' lanterns die from the Trio of Tags Dies. Put it on top of one of the small rectangles of Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, or Terracotta Tile on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the other small rectangles of Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, or Terracotta Tile until you have several little jack o' lantern cut outs of each color.
Tip: If you can, save the teeny tiny triangle eye cut outs to use as confetti in a later step.
Remove a bird or skull and crossbones enamel shape from a sheet of Monster Bash Enamel Shapes. Rub the Embossing Buddy all over the back of the enamel shape multiple times to remove the stickiness.
Put SNAIL Adhesive on the back of the cut books designer paper rectangle.
Peel the protective backing off the FRONT of the rim around the Snow Globe Shaker Dome. Place the dome on top of a Silicone Craft Sheet so the open area of the dome is on the bottom and the curved dome is on the top. Adhere the books designer paper rectangle over the top of the shaker dome.
Tip: Working on top of the Silicone Craft Sheet will keep the adhesives from sticking when you don't want them to stick just yet!
Open the card and lay it flat on your work surface.
Put several of each color of little jack o' lantern cut outs on top of the haunted house in the center of the cut out on the card front.
Leave one Pumpkin Pie and one Terracotta Tile little jack o' lantern to use on a later step.
If you saved the teeny tiny triangle eye cut outs from the little jack o' lanterns, put those on top of the haunted house in the center of the cut out on the card front.
Put the no longer sticky raven or skull and crossbones enamel shape on top of the haunted house in the center of the cut out on the card front.
Put some different sized Calypso Coral and pink (they are more white) sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment on top of the haunted house in the center of the cut out on the card front.
Put a little pinch of Shimmer Black Stampin' Emboss Powder on top of the haunted house in the center of the cut out on the card front.
Peel the protective backing off the BACK of the rim of the Snow Globe Shaker Dome. Adhere the books designer paper/shaker dome rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered on the Pumpkin Pie layer. Press firmly along the edges of the snow globe to make a tight seal so none of the sequins, powder, or other confetti can escape.
Pick out the open snow globe base die from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies. Put it on top of the Terracotta Tile rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Pick out the filigree snow globe base die from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies. Put it on top of the Basic Black rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the black filigree snow globe base cut out to the solid Terracotta Tile snow globe base cut out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered snow globe base cut outs to the front of the card so they butt up to the bottom of the snow globe dome.
Pick out the set of 3 tags die from the Trio of Tags Dies. Put it on top of the Crushed Curry rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the center, regular tag will be cut out of the cardstock. Run through the tool. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
As you are ready to stamp using the Tags Tags Tags Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top to protect the mat from ink.
Mount the set of three Halloween tags image from the Tags Tags Tags Set on Block I. Ink up only the center "Happy Boo From Me to You" image using the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp the tag in the center of the Crushed Curry tag cut out.
Tip: You can stamp the image first and then cut it out with the die, but I found it easier to line things up if I cut out the tag first and then stamped it.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the saved Pumpkin Pie and Terracotta Tile little jack o' lantern cut outs over the tops of the stamped jack o' lanterns on the tag.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the tag to the front of the card at a slight angle so it appears to be attached to the upper right side of the snow globe base.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Basic Black 3/8" Scalloped Edge Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle so it is on the top of the tag cut out.
