Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of yellow plaid design from Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3/4" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/4" of yellow and white stripes design from Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Taco Fiesta Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large chip image from the Taco Fiesta Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly on the large yellow plaid Tea Boutique Designer Paper a few times, leaving lots of space. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges. Leave the stamp on the block.
Mount the grouping of three small chips image from the Taco Fiesta Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the large yellow plaid Tea Boutique Designer Paper filling in the spaces between the large stamped chips. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the long white strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the outward notch) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the "you're nacho average friend" sentiment from the Taco Fiesta Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched white strip of cardstock so the punched end is on the left side and the sentiment is about 1-1/4" from the left end.
Adhere the small strip of striped Tea Boutique Designer Paper to the back of the sentiment strip so about 3/8" shows along the bottom edge and the left edge is about 5/8" from the left end of the sentiment strip.
Cut a 10" piece of the Crumb Cake twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Use a knot to tie the folded twine around the right end of the stamped and layered punched sentiment strip so it is about 1/4" from the right side of the small strip of designer paper. Trim the ends.
Adhere the stamped and layered sentiment strip with twine attached to the bottom of the vertical stamped yellow plaid designer paper rectangle so the bottom of the small designer paper piece is about 3/4" from the bottom of the large designer paper rectangle. Let the right end stick over the right edge a bit so the twine is centered between the right end of the small designer paper piece and the right side of the large designer paper rectangle. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock along the right edge.
Adhere the large designer paper piece with sentiment strip attached to the center of the large Crumb Cake rectangle and then to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Re-ink the large chip image on Block A with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it two times on the remaining small white strip. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Place the stamped chips strip on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend to add some dots of brown to the chips.
Use the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the chips and blend in the brown dots.
Cut out the stamped and colored chips by hand using the Paper Snips Scissors.
Adhere one chip to the left end of the sentiment punched strip as shown using Stampin' Seal. Adhere the other one at a different angle so it overlaps the first on the lower right side using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large, 1 medium, and 1 small Daffodil Delight dots from the sheet of Glossy Dots Assortment making sure you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front in a straight line down in the upper right corner as shown.
