F un Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of tangled strings of Christmas lights on white background design from Sweet Stockings 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" of red and green diagonal stripes on mottled white background design from Gingerbread & Peppermint 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1" square from Real Red Cardstock
- 7/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
Adhere the piece of Christmas lights Sweet Stockings Designer Paper to the center of the large Bumblebee rectangle and then to the front of the Old Olive card.
Pick out the large, pointed banner die from the Stockings Dies. Put it on top of the smaller Bumblebee rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Sweet Little Stockings Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the "very Merry," "for you," or "peace, joy, & kisses" sentiment from the Sweet Little Stockings Set on Block A or Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the banner cut out about 5/8" above the point at the bottom of the banner.
Mount the grouping of three tiny stars image from the Sweet Little Stockings Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Bumblebee Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the banner cut out, remembering to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the banner.
Adhere the stamped banner to the front of the card on the left side so it is centered top to bottom.
Mount the smallest stocking image from the Sweet Little Stockings Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Old Olive rectangle.
Pick out the matching, smallest stocking die from the Stockings Dies. Put it on top of the stamped stocking image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the stocking. Run through the machine.
Adhere the stocking cut out to the center of the banner on the card front just above the stamped sentiment. Be sure to leave room for the candy canes and don't put adhesive across the top of the stocking so you can slide the candy canes under the top of the stocking.
Pick out the candy cane die from the Stockings Dies. Put it on top of one side of the diagonal striped Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the stripes will run diagonally across the candy cane cut out. Be sure to leave room to cut out another candy cane. Run through the machine. Repeat to cut out another candy cane so you have 2.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the candy cane cut outs to the banner on the front of the card so the bottoms of the candy canes are tucked behind the top of the stocking as shown.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Real Red rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the tiny bow die from the Stockings Dies. Put it on top of the Real Red rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Real Red side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the Real Red bow cut out. Adhere it at a slight angle to the top of the stocking at the base of the hanging loop.
