B right, cheery birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Garden Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of yellow plaid design from Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4 x 3-1/2" of lemons and lemon slices and green leaves on white background design from Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Garden Green Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3-1/2" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Insert the large piece of yellow plaid Tea Boutique Designer Paper into the embossing folder included with the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the designer paper inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine. Leave the folder out.
Adhere the dry embossed designer paper rectangle to the center of the large Daffodil Delight rectangle and then to the front of the Garden Green card.
Pick out the large, notched-corners label die from the Painted Labels Dies. Put it on top of the lemons and leaves designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the designer paper label cut out horizontally to the front of the card so the bottom edge is about 1" from the bottom of the card and the right edge is about 1" from the right side.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Daffodil Delight strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the small, rounded scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Sweet Citrus Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the "Have a zesty birthday!" sentiment from the Sweet Citrus Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched Daffodil Delight strip so it is closer to the right edge with the punched end on the right side.
Adhere the stamped sentiment punch strip to the front of the card so it overlaps the label cut out on the right edge. The right edge of the sentiment strip should be about 1/2" from the right side of the card and the bottom edge of the sentiment strip should be about 1-1/4" from the bottom of the card.
Mount the image which is all connected together and has 2 outline citrus fruits, one outline citrus slice, and one solid lemon/lime shape from the Sweet Citrus Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle so you get the outlined fruits. Don't worry if the solid lemon/lime image doesn't get fully stamped, you aren't using it on this card.
Mount the image which is all connected together and has 2 full citrus fruit centers and one citrus slice center from the Sweet Citrus Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the previously stamped outline citrus fruits on the white rectangle.
Pick out the matching set of 4 citrus fruits die from the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it inside the Embossing Folder from the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Emboss Folder so it fits into the grooves around the corresponding citrus fruits cut into the inside of the top flap (the one with the line and logo printed on it) of the Embossing Folder. Place the stamped white cardstock into the layered dies/embossing Folder so they are centered in the dies. Close the folder and put it on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. This will cut out and emboss the citrus images at the same time.
WITHOUT ADHERING, place the cut out and dry embossed lemon images on the front of the card so they overlap each other and the left end of the sentiment strip as shown to figure out placement and spacing. Once happy with the layout, adhere the pieces in place one at a time. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the slice cut out in place.
Mount the set of two leaves image from the Sweet Citrus Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Garden Green square.
Pick out one of the matching set of 2 leaves dies from the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the stamped leaves on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Adhere the leaves cut out to the front of the card so the leaves stick out at a slight angle from the top of the pile of citrus pieces as shown.
Mount the set of three small flowers in a bunch image from the Sweet Citrus Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining small white square.
Pick out one of the matching sets of three small flowers dies from the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the stamped flowers image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the flowers are centered in the die openings. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower cut outs to the front of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 small Daffodil Delight dots from the sheet of Glossy Dots Assortment making sure you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere the large one to the center of the large flower cut out on the card front and the two small ones to the centers of the two small flower cut outs on the card front.
