B eautiful birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and foil sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Silver Foil Sheets
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Pacific Point Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
Pick out the largest to second smallest arch framelits from the Rainbow Builder Framelits. Place a piece of cardstock on the Precicion Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the correct arch framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces if necessary. Repeat for each arch.
Largest arch - Real Red Cardstock
Second arch - Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Third arch - Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Fourth arch - Old Olive Cardstock
Fifth arch - Pacific Point Cardstock
Smallest arch - Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere each of the arches to the upper right corner of the Pool Party rectangle at an angle. Start with the Real Red arch. The top of the red arch should be about 1/8" from the top and about 1/4" in from the right side and the bottom right edge of the arch should be about 1-3/4" up from the bottom. Adhere the remaining arches inside the previous arch.
Pick out the large, open cloud framelit from the Rainbow Builder Framelits. Place the 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" piece of white cardstock on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the large, open cloud framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the flat-bottomed cloud framelit from the Rainbow Builder Framelits. Place the 1" x 2" piece of Silver Foil Sheets on top of the Precision Plate on the Big Shot. Place the flat-bottomed cloud framelit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush to remove the cardstock.
Put some Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the flat-bottomed silver cloud. Remove the protective backing. Adhere the silver cloud to the Pool Party rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the left side and about 1" from the top.
Adhere the puffy, white cloud cut out to the Pool Party rectangle so it covers the right edge of the silver cloud and the left bottoms of the rainbow arches.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Sunshine & Rainbows stamps, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sun image from the Sunshine & Rainbows Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, use the Pumpkin Pie Marker brush tip to color over the center circle of the sun image. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it in the center of the Whisper White square.
If desired, use the brush tip of the Pumpkin Pie Marker to add more color to the center of the stamped sun image.
Pick out the sun framelit from the Rainbow Builder Framelits. Place the stamped sun image on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the matching sun framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the sun cut out to the Pool Party rectangle so it overlaps the left top of the puffy, white cloud and the top of the silver cloud.
Pick out the long, thin framelit from the Rainbow Builder Framelits that cuts out big, puffy cloud tops. Place one 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of white cardstock on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the long, thin cloud tops framelit on top near the top edge. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the long, thin framelit from the Rainbow Builder Framelits that cuts out smaller, more scalloped cloud tops. Place another 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of white cardstock on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the long, thin cloud tops framelit on top near the top edge. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the big, puffy cloud tops strip on the Stampin' Pierce Mat.
Mount the "May your birthday be bright and beautiful" sentiment from the Sunshine & Rainbows Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it on the big, puffy clouds strip near the top of the strip about 1/2" to 3/4" in from the right side.
Adhere the smaller, more scalloped cloud tops strip to the Pool Party layer so it is about 1/4" below the fluffy white cloud. Trim off excess cardstock on the sides and bottom using Paper Snips.
Adhere the stamped, big, puffy cloud tops strip to the Pool Party rectangle so it overlaps the bottom of the previous cloud strip. Make sure the right bottoms of the arches are covered. Trim off excess cardstock on the sides and bottom using Paper Snips.
Adhere the Pool Party rectangle to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Carefully peel up three glittery raindrops from a sheet of Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere them to the card front so they are falling from the silver cloud.
