A n elegant wedding card using Floral Phrases and Detailed Thinlits
Project Recipe
1. Cut an 8.5" X 11" piece of Night of Navy Card stock down the center to get a 4.25" X 11" card base. (You will have 2 pieces but you will only use one for the card base.)
2. Place the long side of the card base along the top edge of your score board and score at 3 3/8th" and 8 7/8th". Use a bone folder to create sharp folds.
3. You will need 3 pieces of Whisper White card stock. Cut:
4" X 5 1/4" - this is the inside of the card
4" X 4 1/2" - inside card panel
4 1/2" X 2 1/2" - the short inside card panel
4. Use the Detailed Floral Thinlits to cut the Night of Navy card base to create a gate fold card.
5. Cutting the Whisper White inside card panels:
Use only the thin curvy edge thinlit to cut the edge of the Whisper White card stock. Make sure it aligns with the Night of Navy panel. NOTE: your Whisper White panels are larger than the Night of Navy panels. This is to assist in aligning the die with the Night of Navy. You will need to trim the excess overhang.
6. Repeat Step 5 to cut the other side of the panel.
7. Glue the Whisper White panels and use Sweet Sugarplum to stamp the greeting and Floral image on the inside Whisper White panel.
8. To create a belly band cut a piece of Night of Navy Card stock: 1" X 11"
Wrap the belly band around the closed card base but leave a little "wiggle" room to allow ease of removal.
9. Use the a scalloped square die from the Layering Squares thinlits to cut a scalloped Sweet Sugarplum square to use as a layer behind the straight sided square. NOTE: the square I used was part of the bride & grooms invitation. Glue both pieces together and use stamping dimensionals to attach to the belly band.
10. I used a clear Wink of Stella pen to add shimmer on the side white panel pieces.
